Did he think he would instantly become Finn's boyfriend if their parents got together? Didn't he see the positive side that he would have a mum now who he could talk about girly things with? I don't know whether they are going out or not, but Cory is playing her love interest in the movie Monte Carlo. So maybe that's where the rumours started. More here.
