Chapter 4

Tony just got furthur into his own little world, it was like he didn't care about anyone, not even Rachel or his little peanut. It was like he was being sucked into a black hole, with no chance of return. Rachel was so worried about him, it was like he was just an empty shell, all the motions of living, just without the actual living, and it worried her. She tried so hard to snap him out of it, but nothing seemed to work. He didn't even notice her ever growing bump, his baby and he didn't care, more to the point didn't really realise she actually was pregnant. The only thing he cared about was loosing himself in his grief and completely blanking Rachel like she was a worthless piece of air. Something was wrong with him, this wasn't normal. Martha was managing to cope with her grief but Tony just let himself slip into his, letting it take him over like a virus. This was just one massive problem for Rachel, she wanted to show Tony how excited she was about the baby and to start making plans, but she couldn't and she wouldn't all because she cared about Tony and she didn't want to rub it into Tony's face that they were having a baby just as he lost his first born, it wasn't fair to him, but then again it wasn't fair to her, she should have been able to express her happiness, just as an expectant mother should, being able to go out and buy the amazing cot she wanted or the cutest baby suit she saw without worrying about what it would do to Tony. Deep down she knew he cared about her and peanut and loved them both more than anything in this world, he just wasn't showing it and that's what scared her the most. Weeks went by and Tony just slipped furthur and furthur into the black hole he was being sucked into, disappearing for longer lengths of time, pushing Rachel even furthur away so she may as well have been on Mars. Rachel was now just taken over by worry, during a time when she should have been exited and planning for her dream baby she was constantly worrying about Tony, even at work, a job whch Rachel loved she couldn't stop worrying about Tony. It wasn't fair on her. She didn't need to be consumed with worry it wasn't good for her or peanut. She had to know what was going on inside Tony's head and to know where he kept vanishing too night after night. She was sick of waking up to find him gone. It was probably not one of her brightest ideas to follow him especially when you see your fiance meet up with a woman in the middle of the night, and especially being pregnant having her hormones flying everywhere like leaves caught up in a hurricane, she of course thought the worse. Confronting Tony was the only way she;d find out for definate, but even then he was being evasive, saying that he didn't need to explain where he was going to her, obviously forgetting during this moment of time she was his fiance and she was pregnant with his child. It was Martha that finally got through to him, telling him he had to explain to Rachel what he had been doing. So that's when he told her about the boat and how he had been meeting up with Belinda to get the parts. She couldn't help but apologise for accusing him of cheating on her, but who can blame her he has before, under completely different circumstances, but all the same. After he finally started to open up to Rachel it seemed like things were finally back on track for the two of them.
