The Location Thread

Why did they come so far in to Martha's farm location?

Since the show started they have split location filming mainly between the Northern Beaches and various areas around The Hills/Hawkesbury regions. Palm Beach is a rather built up area, as are most of the Northern Beach suburbs, whereas Summer Bay is supposed to be a small semi-rural town. Using some of the country towns from north western Sydney help them to maintain that illusion.

Martha's Farm was actually closer to the studios in Epping than Palm Beach was - however they've now moved the studios to Redfern which is a few km's south from the Sydney CBD - whether that will affect any of the locations used will become apparent this year I guess!

It's quite a way away isn't it Palm Beach to the studios in the CBD, Summer Bay House was in a totally different direction all together also - I hope it doesn't become more urbanized! I wonder if the actors have to make their own way to locations or if they are picked up.
