What Was Your First Job?

My first job was at Wendy's. The Aus Ice cream shop (even though we sold more hot dogs :P) not the American burger place. Started when I was fifteen and worked there for five years. I loved it. Sure, I hated it at times and the boss wasn't always nice, but looking back, he could have been worse. Sadly he died from cancer and new owners took over and they were ****. Made me realise that the good days were gone. My favourite part was clean up, didn't have to deal with rude customers and me and my mates would play our music really loud and sing and dance. :P

I then worked in Admin and hated it. So now I'm back in retail and loving it. Have a chance at an Assistant Managers position in a few months so fingers crossed.

Is it really bad that i'm 17 and i've never had a job before?? Yes, as in never worked before. Never. Ever. Ever.

Not really :P

^^Thanks. I think. :P

In my defence, I have been studying my whole life and still am, and i've never really needed to work. Does work experience in hospitals and medical centre's count?? I've done heaps of that (in preparation for my degree). See now that's unpaid... which would make me a saint then. :P

Nope. I kind of wished I never worked while I was at school. I could have done way better if I didn't have to work and could have studied instead. You have the rest of your life to work.

^^That's very true Kaitie. You are going to work forever later on anyway. Although I do think it's commendable that you started working so young though. As my Dad likes to point out to me so very often, "you learn the value of my money when you actually put in a hard day's work and earn it yourself."
