matticus01 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Hey guys, I dont mean to be a nag about something so critical and small like this but I changed my avatar tonight and it was an original 100x100 pixel avatar and when I updated it it was then 120x120 pixels and was all blurry. Now I dont want to seem nagging but I dont want my avatar to be 120x120 when its not meant to be so is there anything you can do to stop it from scaling to a size we dont want it to be?
Cal Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 We don't know why it's scaling to that size. I asked Dan about it a few days ago and it's a mystery. It might be the forum software playing up. I know it's a pain, but we'll try and fix it soon!
Cerise Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 The board started scaling smaller images up, we don't really know what happened. Edit: Cal beat me to it.
matticus01 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 ok thanks for letting me know I'll just have to put up with it for now until you guys can figure out how to fix it
Mrs Bishop Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Hey guys I,m haveing trouble loading an off site av the picture wont load or show dose any one no what the trouble is this isnt the firsttime.
Jen Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Hey guys I,m haveing trouble loading an off site av the picture wont load or show dose any one no what the trouble is this isnt the firsttime. What I *think* the problem is, is that you need to delete the first "http://" from the url, because at the moment your offsite link is http://http//i153.photobuchket.com/albums/...ture_tile-1.jpg So if you get rid of the first http://, it should work.
Mrs Bishop Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Thanks Jen when I had a look I could see what you were getting at but its still taken me all day but at least its done thanks onnce again.
Laura Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 When I try to upload an avatar from another site it comes up with a message saying the link isnt working or no avatar selected but it is the right link so I don't know what to do.
Cerise Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Your probably not using the correct link, you have to right click > properties and then copy and paste the URL. But anyway, your not allowed do this, you must right click > save image to My Pictures or another folder > Upload itb to your own Photobucket account or Imagehack./
Laura Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Yeah, I did try to do it from my own photobucket account. EDIT: I figured it out now, but the avatar was blurry so I decided to keep the one I already had.
