Irene Roberts - Lynne McGranger

Recommended Posts

So we're now into week 6 of the 2013 season and Irene has done just about NOTHING. I was intrigued when she was one of the first residents of Summer Bay to meet Spencer and I thought we'd maybe see them develop a bond but it appears not. However I'm not going to be negative as Lynne mentioned a couple of months ago that we'd (hopefully) see Irene do more this year and possibly have some of her family return. She even told me herself that Irene would definitely do more in 2013 so I'm going to have hope. I also mentioned to her on twitter about 7 months ago that Irene would be celebrating 20 years in Summer Bay in 2013 and I put forward some suggestions to her which she kindly said she would pass on to TPTB.

The old ones deserve a better story. Like a stupid lottery ticket and such. Irene has had a lot the last 20 years but now she is involved in everyone's.

Lynne McGranger is a huge asset to the show. It saddens me that Irene hasn't had a storyline since her breast cancer storyline. I'm just hoping that Irene will have big storylines coming up this year. The same goes for Alf. I can't honesty remember when Alf last had a big storyline.

Lucy Addario and Louise Bowes shouldn't give the Braxtons/teenagers/young cast big storylines all the time.. Home And Away is not for teens only. It is for a wide audience. A lot of older viewers watch Home And Away.

Exactly. Channel 7 seem market it as a shallow show for teens. It's not - and it never was. So far 2013 hasn't given me any hope that it will be different to 2012 but the year is but young.
