Just wondering if anyone else in here does cross-stitching. I find it really theraputic and my psycologist told me to make sure i try and do some everyday to help me relax.

I'm in the middle of stitching a load of squares to make a quilt which i'm going to give to our local women's refuge.

Yes, I quite enjoy it, I also do quilting, with oddments from old clothes and old pieces of curtains, so they are sort off keepsakes as well.

I do Cross Stitch and latch Hook. I have done CS for about 8 yeaars and haave times I go mad on it and times I don't.

I tend to buy CS online at Black Sheep Wools and get what is in their sale as some offline is so expensive.

That's interesting, my therapist suggested that I take up some sort of crafting for the same reason. I do a lot of baking (a lot of baking, especially for a house with only 3 people - we often have cake coming out of our ears!) but was thinking of trying a paint by numbers or something like that. I had a go at cross-stitch when I was younger but I was rubbish at it, the squares ended up swimming before my eyes so I always messed it up!

I do an INSANE amount of cross stitching, mostly flower fairies, but I just finished an enormous tapestry of the alphabet with an animal for each letter wound round the letters. ANYWAY, back to the point, I also do it for therapy reasons. I was told to find a hobby to take my mind off other (bad) hobbies and this was the one that stuck. And I find it really relaxing. And yours is for a good cause which is even more comendable. :D
