Is Bec Hewitt expecting again?

Herald Sun

May 19, 2008

A SECRET hospital visit has renewed baby talk Bec Hewitt is expecting again.

The former soap star and her tennis ace husband Lleyton denied the pregnancy rumours when Confidential put the claims to his management last month.

Close friends claimed then, the couple had privately conceded Bec was in the early stages of her second pregnancy, a sibling for toddler daughter Mia.

A womens' magazine today published photos of the celebrity parents attending a medical appointment at North Shore Private Hospital, where their first child was born.

In the Woman's Day article, the former Home & Away favourite is quoted as saying she was feeling the pressure to produce a brother or sister for her only daughter, while dodging direct questioning over whether she was already pregnant.

"It's so funny, since Mia turned one you basically get, `When's the next one coming?' I was talking to a friend the other day and she said it doesn't stop when you have the second. Everyone asks when the third one is coming," Hewitt said recently.

Juggling the demands of supporting her athlete husband and taking care of Mia on the international tennis circuit has proved a challenge for the 24-year-old.

If they were such 'close friends', why would they be breaking a confidence by talking to the press of all people?

And has no one ever heard of only children? :P There's nothing wrong with just having the one!
