Inboxes/Sending PMs on the forum

My inbox link isn't appearing at the top of the forum as usual and i'm unable to send pms, can anyone shed any light on why this problem has occured and is there any other way of pming people and how would i go about it? I've not had this problem before.

If you want to PM somebody, you can click on his/her name (above his/her avatar) and then on "Send a message".

Thanks for replying. Yes, i did think to do that too, unfortunately i get the board's error message, i am completely stumped

Is there any chance you could have accidentally disabled your PM? Go to My Controls >> Board settings, and make sure "Disable personal messenger?" is set to "No"
