I was always confused as to why Kate Ritchie wasn't given more recognition for her portrayal as Sally throughout her entire run, because whilst some people I've noticed only just seem to have realized what an amazing talent she has been in recent years, she has actually been totally on the mark and 100% from day dot. She's always been one of, if not the best, most convicing emotional actor on the show and did a huge amount of gut-wrenching scenes as a child and teenager. I 'm just glad she did eventually get awarded for all that, its like what Kate said at the time ' I was wondering why now?'! Well I say I was confused, but now I look back and its pretty much down to publicity too, she did get front page probably a few times during the 90's but if you compare that to the likes of Melissa, Ilse and Tempany - well there is no comparison really. Assuming the links still work ;) I'd like to add that she also got shot in the leg when the diner was held up, nothing major But still.......... Red Ranger 1 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 Yeah, she was out in the bush with Jack and Curtis-can't really remember why but she didn't seem happy to be there.They raced on ahead and she found them in a gulley.They'd gone down an easier way but she didn't know that and when she tried to follow them down she slipped.
