beckyboo Posted August 2, 2007 Report Share Posted August 2, 2007 Thanks Rach for reminding me to update Thanks Rach for proofing Martha was supposed to be having a quiet night in with Rhys; unfortunately, she was called in to work at the surf club Peter had decided to come down for a drink… “Hey Mac, how are my beautiful god children” he asked her “Hey! Yeah there fine” she sighed happily “Good good” “In fact, I was planning on come down to see you” she said “You were” “Yes, how would you feel about being Lily’s Godfather as well?” “Martha, I would love to” Peter said Martha and Peter spent the evening catching up and talking about old times, however Martha had become very well aware that someone was making him distracted. Looking in the same direction as Peter, she saw a girl sitting at the other end of the bar. The girl was simply stunning; she had longish dark hair and gorgeous blue eyes that sparkled in the light. “Ooo, is Detective Baker eyeing up the eye candy” Martha giggled “Huh, what me, nah course not” he said “Peter come on, I know your liking what you’re seeing. I mean, come on, she’s gorgeous. And not every girl is like Amanda” “Martha, trust me im not” he laughed Martha went back to serving the customers, however still keeping an eye open as she watched the young girl and Peter exchanging occasional glances when they thought no one was looking “Mac, im just off to the toilet, can you get me another drink please” Peter called over Martha nodded as she watched him leave. Right Martha thought, time to play match maker “Hi can I get you another drink” Martha asked the girl “No im ok thank you” “Ok, actually, can I ask you something?” “Ummm ok” the girl replied “Well, my friend is pretty in to you, but he’s really shy. Would you consider going on a blind date with him?” “Erm.” The girl replied “Well it won’t be a blind date for you, but it will be for him. Oh and im Martha by the way” “Lucy, and … well sure, why not” she smiled “Great!” Martha and Lucy exchanged numbers and arranged the date for the following night. “Hey your back. Here’s your drink” “Thanks” …………………………….. The next night “Peter hey, it’s Martha. Can you come over and keep me company, im in the bar all night.” “Sure why not, im on my way” he said to her down the phone Lucy and Martha sat chatting away, when Peter walked in “Pete” Martha said happily “This is Lucy, you two are going on a date tonight so have fun” she added quickly. …………………………….. Peter and Lucy were sat in the surf club just generally enjoying each others company “Yano I did want to ask you out the very second I laid eyes on you” Peter said “Well why did you” She asked him simply “Shy I guess” he said shyly “So that’s why your friend had to ask me for you” “Yer but im glad she did” “So im I” she replied happily …………………………………………………………. Rach and Luc walked in the surf club they were meeting Martha and Rhys there and Luc was meeting him for the 1st time. “Rach what if I don’t like him, then can we leave” Luc said “No” she said sternly …………………………………………………………….. Martha was now starting to feel a little bit uneasy here she was about to introduce her husbands brother to her new boyfriend. “Rach, Luc” Martha said as they approached her. “Hey” they both said unison “Well Rach you remember Rhys, and Luc this Rhys” “Hey good to see you again Rachel and nice to meet you Luc” Rhys said shyly ……………………………………………………………………………… “Peter you with me, your seeming a bit distracted now” Lucy said “What yer im fine” he said whilst all the while starring over at Martha or was he? “Peter do you like Martha like that” Lucy asked trying to sound casual “What me and her no way” he laughed “Its that guy I don’t know were I no him from” “Ahhh” Lucy said ashamedly Peter just looked at her and started to Laugh “Can I ask you a question Lucy, I don’t want an answer right now but will you be my girlfriend” Peter asked her shyly Lucy looked at him and said “Seriously yes” she said “Come on I’ll introduce you to everyone” Peter said Lucy and Peter made there way over towards the bar. “Hey guys” Martha said “Rhys this is my best friend Peter” she said casually “Yer I think we’ve met” Rhys said “At Tracey Thompson office” “Ahh yes, well this was before she turned out to ruin Martha and Jack wedding” “So Pete you’re not going to introduce us to your lady friend” Luc said “Sorry yes guys this is Lucy; my girlfriend, Lucy this is Luc, Rach, Rhys and you know Martha” “Yer hey” Lucy said shyly …………………………………………………………………………………….. The next day “Ava if you don’t hurry up and get dressed you will miss the auditions” Martha shouted up to the little girl. “Mummy please don’t stress, I have to look my best” Ava said coming calmly down the stairs Martha looked up at Ava, she looked so much like her dad, and Martha was awakened from her thoughts by the door. “That will be Uncle Peter waiting for us” Ava said Martha, Peter, Ava and Lucy all walked into the stadium were the auditions were being held. “You know Ava it’s not to late to back out” Martha said more nervous than Ava. “Mummy calm down it will be fine” she smiled at Martha “I think your mummy is just a bit nervous” Lucy said to the young child “Well she shouldt be im the one singing not her” Ava replied It was now Ava’s turn to go onto the stage “Hello sweetheart and whats your name” Simon Cowell said to her “Hello Simon my name is Ava Jaclyn Holden and I am 5 years old and im going to sing.” “And what are you going to sing for us Ava” Simon spoke again “How do I live by Leanne Rimes for my daddy” she said Preview..
