I stood there, the knife trembling in my hand. Was I really going to do this? She had placed her trust in me and I had trusted her. But still, I couldn't kill her. Could I? But I needed to, my life depended on it. Otherwise she would blab to the cops about everything. Geez. I wanted to kill her so bad. As revenge. But that would be too extreme, wouldn't it? I was thinking over and over, would I, wouldn't I? I had to make up my mind. Fast. Maybe I could talk her into not dobbing us in. Would it work? Could I trust her? I used to think that but now I wasn't so sure. My arm was getting sore from holding the knife so I lowered it, the knife now lying in my hand beside my left thigh. Should I kill her?

Here's more, I updated early:

After much consideration, I decided against it. As silly as it sounded, I actually thought I had a chance of talking her out of it all. I just hoped it was possible to achieve. Could I actually talk her out of telling the truth to the police? Was it possible? Yes. Well, that's what my conscience told me. I decided to let her go.

"All right Trace, if I let you go will you promise not to spill the beans?"

She had gone into a trance of deep thought.

A few moments later, he mouth began to open. But no words came out.

"I'm sorry Eve, but I have to turn us in".

"But you can't!" I pleaded. "If you don't, then I'll go far away and never come back".

I hoped it sounded convincing.

She gave it some more thought.

"What's in it for me?" She asked.

"You can come with me, if you want" I said, "We can travel the world"

I had to get her to agree. And it might even work, I thought to myself.

"Fine" she gave in, putting her hands up like a sign of truce.

Sorry it's so short, Jane was begging for an update :P

"So you won't say anything?" I asked, happy of my achievment.

"No", she let out a long sigh.

It was now dark inside the gloomy cell.

"I'm off to bed"

"'Night"

"Goodnight Eve".

I had accomplished a good thing today. It was all going great; like she was under my spell......

Now all we had to do was escape.

We had all gathered in the large pavestone courtyard early that morning. We had to be checked for drug possesion. Someone had somehow been caught dealing different types of narcotics and a whole load of dope. We all lined up in single file alone the huge barb wire fence. Trace had lined up behind me. I turned to face her.

"Now's our chance"

"For what?" she asked dumbly.

"To escape".
