Kisses to everyone who reads this - thanks! Here is the next part:

PART 7

“So you skipped two grades? Wow, that’s never been done before!”

Drew looks at Megan with interest and she shrugs.

“Well now it did. I’m going to eat lunch now…”

“You can come with me… I actually might ask you to tutor me.”

Megan lifts a brow.

“Seriously?”

“Yeah! I need it, trust me.”

“Okay. But then you have to be willing to work hard. We start in lunch, get your books.”

“But it’s lunch!”

“Told you we were going to work hard.”

“Okay…”

Drew turns around to go and get his books, bumping into Belle on the way. She smiles seductively.

“Hey Curtis…”

“Oh, hey Taylor. I can’t talk right now, I have to meet up with Megan.”

“What?”

He laughs and kisses her quickly.

“It’s not like that, Taylor! She’s going to help me study!”

Belle glares at him, tears forming in her eyes.

“Right.”

She moves past him, running to the bathroom. Drew hesitates for a minute before walking outside to meet up with Megan.

“Okay, so if one person has dominant brown eyes and the other has recessive blue eyes, what would be the color of their child’s eyes?”

Megan looks at the paper for a while.

“Brown or green.”

“How green?”

“Green is a shade of brown. So two brown eyed people can have a kid with green eyes.”

“Okay… Next question. Sarah has gray eyes and her husband Chris has brown eyes. Their child has blue eyes. How is that possible?”

Megan looks at Drew seriously.

“Answer.”

“Sarah cheated?”

Megan rolls her eyes.

“Focus here. Gray is a shade of blue. So would Chris’ eyes be dominant or recessive?”

“I don’t know.”

“Come on, Drew. Okay, the symbol for Dominant Brown eyes is BB. Capital letters. Recessive brown eyes is Bb. One capital letter. And the symbol for blue eyes is bb. So if the child has blue eyes, the symbol of his eyes would be bb. Which combination would you need for that?”

Drew thinks for a minute.

“Okay, so Chris has recessive brown eyes?”

“Yes! Good job!”

Drew grins.

“Why can’t the teachers explain it like this?”

“Because hey have to explain it to a whole class. But it’s really easy, you just have to use your head.”

Drew grins and pats her on the head.

“Thanks, Meg! You might have just helped me pass Biology.”

Megan looks at him seriously.

“You’re not dumb, Drew. You’re just a little lazy. But remember, eye color is only a part of the exam.”

“Yeah, I know. But I actually get it now! Let me buy you a milkshake – just to say thanks.”

Megan shakes her head.

“Rather not. Buy one for Belle. She’s probably going to feel a little neglected now – it’s not everyday your boyfriend ditches you to study.”

“You know about me and Belle?”

Megan laughs.

“Who doesn’t? I’ll see you later!”

She smiles at him and walks off merrily. Drew looks at her and just shakes his head.

“That is one weird chick.”

“Hey!”

Lucas smiles at Drew when he enters the diner and sits down opposite him.

“Hey, Luc. Wow, it’s almost time to go back to class.”

Lucas sighs.

“Yeah.”

“I can’t believe I spent lunch studying.”

“You what?”

Lucas looks at Drew skeptically and Drew nods.

“Megan tutored me… She’s good.”

“Belle is going to flip! She doesn’t trust Megan…”

“Oh, come on! It’s not like I cheated – I got help with schoolwork.”

Lucas looks at Drew.

“Are you into her?”

“Who Megan? No way! I mean, she’s hot and everything, but… she’s just so smart… It’s a little intimidating to be honest.”

Lucas nods.

“That’s what I thought too… I wouldn’t know what to talk about if we were together.”

“Amino acids and genetics?”

They laugh loudly, shaking their heads. Drew sighs.

“I can’t believe it. How can someone so hot have a brain that size? It sucks.”

Lucas holds up Drew’s book.

“Well at least she can help you study!”
