Summer Bay

You only watched it yesterday

Aha, words can't describe what makes me tune in again

Oh Sal-lay

You're going to meet your end some day

Aha, Summer Bay, we take a days break in the month ofMay

It's 4:40 and that's the time it's always been

We can't listen to you on the radio

To get the episode we need to watch at home

Summer Bay

Bevan Lee is proud of his baby

Aha, the joy you give

The memories will never fade away

Summer Bay

Oh Sal-lay

You're going to meet your end some day

Aha, Summer Bay, it shouldnt fade in our dreams away

and also does someone have the real one.?

Wow, the French obviously like their Australian television! They have "Skippy le kangourou", "Les Twist", "Océane" (I think it was called Ocean Odessey over here) and "Rivaux mais pas trop" (Snobs). Can't find Neighbours in the list, though - surprisingly. :P

Probably about ten/fifteen minutes, I got the idea after reading Si's post and the fact that I listed to Enola Gay on Friday.

I love the "Oh Sal-lay!"

I agree with Roccoluver, I shouldn't have read that at school. Everyone just gave me a wierd look lol!

Haha, nice.

'Enola Gay' is a legendary song.

Anyway.. in here (Estonia) the show is called "Kodus ja Võõrsil", which in translation means "Home and Abroad". It is dubbed here. :(

I've asked Kanal2 many times to remove the dubbing at least with the reruns.. That makes me a sad panda.

In Flanders (the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium), it's called Home & Away and has Dutch subtitles.

In Wallonia (the French-speaking part of Belgium), it was called Summer Bay and was dubbed in French. They stopped showing it. I've never had the opportunity to see how it was like.

In France, it is called Summer Bay. It's dubbed in French. They started showing Home & Away in September 2006. So, I doubt they started from the beginning.

I don't think it's still broadcast in France. I just checked the website of NT1 (the channel who broadcasts the show in France) and Summer Bay isn't listed in their programmes anymore.

The dubbing was probably horrible like most of the time, especially when you've already heard the real voice of the actors/actresses.

France also shows The Sleepover Club but it's called Pyjama Party. Heartbreak High had a lot of fans in France; it was called Hartley, coeurs à vif.

The Dutch-speaking part of Belgium also likes Australian shows. We have Home & Away, Neighbours, All Saints, The Sleepover Club, McLeod's Daughters. We had Heartbreak High, Blue Heelers and Skippy the Bush Kangaroo too but they're not broadcast at the moment, I think.

I was reading a webpage the other day, and it seems like Home&Away is called "Summer Bay" in France. Does any other countires call it something but Home&Away?

And what about dubbing/voiceover/subtitles?

Here we have Norwegian subtitles, but other than that everything is just like it's shown in Australia.

In Israel the show is shown with Hebrew subtitles but other than that everything is just like it's shown in Australia.
