Here's chapter 9. I'm watching you Sam, <_< lol

Chapter 9

“That’s great!” Jack said. “Only, if I’m the father.”

“You are,” Martha said. “So, me being pregnant, is ok with you?”

“Yeah, definitely,” said Jack. “Why wouldn’t I be?”

“I don’t know. I just thought you might not like it.” Martha said.

“Well I do,” Jack said.

“What do you want? A boy or a girl?” Martha asked.

“I don’t mind,” Jack said. “As long, as you’re happy.”

Martha hugged him.

***

“Martha, I’m going to work,” Jack informed her.

“Ok,” Martha said. She rubbed her eyes. Jack kissed her and then went. Martha got out of bed. She went into Ashley’s room.

“Baby, wake up,” Martha said kissing her forehead. “You have to go to playschool.”

Ashley slowly sat up. Martha lifted her up and brought her into the toilet.

“Brush your teeth and I’ll leave your clothes on the bed for you.” Martha said. She lay out the clothes on the bed and then went to change her own.

***

“Hey Ashley,” Jack said, when he walked up to his daughter after work. “How’s your boyfriend Alex?”

“We broke up,” Ashley said. Then she added, “It wasn’t working out,”

Jack gasped down at her wondering where she got all her phrases.

“What wasn’t working,” said Jack.

“I wanted to play in the sand-pit but he wanted to play with the cars. But now I’ve got Oliver.” Ashley said.

“Boy, you bounce back fast,” Jack grinned. He gave her a kiss.

“Where’s mummy?” said Jack.

“She’s having a nap,” said Ashley.

“How about we go out for an ice-cream?” Jack said.

“Yeah,” Ashley said. Jack picked her up and got the car keys.

***

“Good afternoon, Constable,” Colleen grinned.

“Good afternoon, Colleen,” Jack said.

“What can I get for you?” Colleen asked.

“Which one do you want princess?” Jack asked Ashley handing her the desert book. Ashley went through the pages quickly and then found one.

“That one,” She said, showing Colleen the picture.

“Coming right up,” Colleen giggled.

“Let’s sit down,” Ashley said. She pulled Jack to a table.

“You sit down first,” Ashley said. Jack sat down. Then Ashley climbed up onto his lap.

“Much better,” she smiled. She gave Jack a quick kiss on the lips.

***

“Jack! Where the hell were you?” I was worried sick.” Martha shouted at Jack. “You could have left a note. I thought Evan had taken her again!”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t think of it,” said Jack.

“Well from now on you better!” Martha said.

“Calm down,” Jack said. “Listen, you go have a rest and I’ll make dinner.”

“You better not order a take-away and tell me you made it,” Martha grinned.

“I won’t,” Jack said, kissing her.

Sorry I haven't posted on here in ages

Heres Chapter 10

“Uncle Luke,” Alison said. “Choccie.”

“You want some choclates?” Lucas said, holding up the packet of Cadbury buttons. Alison nodded. “What do you say?”

“Choccies pwetty please, Uncle Luke,” Alison said, holding out her hands. Lucas emptied some into her hands.

“Thank you!” Alison smiled, popping one into her mouth.

“Your welcome,” said Lucas.

“Right, thanks for the help, Lucas,” Martha said, coming downstairs. Lucas stuffed the packet in his pocket and Alison hid her chocolate behind her back.

“Why do you two look so suspicious?” Martha said, eying them carefully.

“Do we? I didn’t notice,” Lucas said, shaking his head. Alison shook her head too. Martha went up behind Alison and Alison quickly stuffed the chocolate buttons into her mouth.

“All gone!” Alison said quickly.

“Lucas! How many times have I told you not to give her treats before dinner!” Martha gave out to Lucas.

“Sorry,” Lucas said.

“You two sit down in that corner until dinner’s ready,” Martha said. Lucas picked up Alison and they both sat down on the sofa.

“All your fault,” Alison whispered.

“Hey!” Lucas whispered back.

***

“You’re beautiful,” said Jack. “Have I ever told you that?”

“You might have mentioned,” Martha smiled. She got into bed beside Jack. Then the door opened.

“Mummy, I’m scared,” Ashley said coming in clutching her teddy bear.

“Come over here,” Martha said. Ashley crawled in, in between Jack and Martha. After a few minutes she was fast asleep. Jack lifted her up and put her into her own bed. He kissed her head. Then he heard the smashing of a window.

***

“Well we weren’t able to find any suspicious tools or evidence of a break-in. It could have been teenagers doing what they normally do nowadays,” said the officer. Martha stood there shivering.

“Well, thanks anyway,” Jack said. The police left.

“Jack, I’m scared,” Martha said, clutching onto Jack’s arm and holding her robe tight.

“Don’t be,” Jack said. He shooed Martha upstairs and sat down on the sofa, staring at the broken glass.
