Hi!” Peter said hugging her “Heya Peter” Belle smiled “How are you?” Peter asked Belle explained why she was back. “Getting married! Wow! That is a major step” Peter said “I know…But I love Lucas” Belle said “Daddy! Can we go?” Ali asked “Yeah…Sure. Say goodbye to your mum and big sister” Peter said Ali walked over to Amanda and hugged and kissed her. She then went over to Belle and did the same “See you later, Amanda. Bye Belle” Peter said and walked out of the house. “What happened between you guys?” Belle asked “Trust issues mainly.” Amanda said “What do you mean?” Belle asked “Well, he always through that I was cheating on him. I never was” Amanda said “Who broke if off?” Belle asked “Well, you have a row. I left the house and Peter followed me. We talked and decided it was for the best to end it” Amanda answered “I better go. I need to see Irene” Belle smiled “What? Belle…sweetheart…” Amanda started “What? What is gone?” Belle asked “Irene died. Two years ago. Cancer” Amanda said sadly “What?” Belle said and started to cry “I am so sorry, hun. But yes. She pasted away after a long battle with cancer” Amanda explained Belle was heartbroken. Irene was the only person who she went to when she had a problem. The wind blew the hair out of her face. She was very sad over Irene. Drew was walked along the beach. She smiled when she saw he come up to her. “What are you doing here?” Drew asked “Thinking” answered Belle “About?” asked Drew “Irene” Belle said “She was a real fighter” Drew said to Belle “Was fighting it for nearly 8 months” “I just cant believe it. Everything has really changed since I have left.” Belle said “I mean, Mum and Peter are divorced, you are married with a child, I have a little sister and well Irene isn’t here anymore” “Belle, people change and things happen. That is life. Listen I have told my wife about you and she would love to meet you as well as Emma, my daughter” Drew smiled "What have you told her?" Belle asked "That we dated for a while and you are abck in town for your wedding" Drew said “I cant, not today. I really have to get started on wedding plans with Lucas when he comes back from sailing on Jack’s boat. Maybe another time?” Belle asked “Yeah, sure. Just call me.” Drew smiled and walked off. Belle went back to the Holden’s house. Meanwhile, Lucas was at the boat with Ric. They were waiting for Jack to arrive. “So, how have you been?” Lucas asked Ric “I am been alright. I cant wait for Mattie to come home!” Ric smiled “I miss her like crazy!” “Where is she coming back?” Lucas asked “Should be in another few weeks” Ric smiled “You really love her don’t you” Lucas said “Yeah, I do. I am going to ask her to marry me when she gets back” Ric smiled “Aw, mate! That is great. Congrates” Lucas replied “Hey! She hasn’t said ‘yes’ yet” Ric replied Ric looked around. He saw Jack coming with life jacket. “Little brother!” Jack smiled and hugged Lucas “All grown up now! And getting hitched! Wow!” “Yeah, I know.” Lucas said “Right, lets get started” Jack said They all put on a life jacket and got into the boat. “I must warn you, it has been a while since I have done this” Jack smirked Ric and Lucas looked at each other and let of a nervous laughter. Jack reversed and started to sail. They reached out into the ocean. It was all going really well for a while. But then, Jack decided to play a little trick on them. He sped up the boat as fast as it went. “JACK!” Lucas shouted “SLOW DOWN!” “I CAN’T!” Jack yelled back trying to hold back his laughter “WE ARE GOING TO DIE!” Ric screamed Jack started to go around in circles. It was scaring Lucas and Ric who were sure that they would die. “Right! Anyone want to take over?” Jack asked grinning “Nope” Ric answered “Give it to me” Lucas said looking at the grin on his brother’s face Lucas took control of the boat and slowed it down. Jack sat back laughing. “So not funny” Lucas said annoyed “Thank god! I thought we would die” Ric said “I take the boat out all the time.” Jack admitted “I can’t believe you thought I was telling the truth when I said I never really gone on it.” “Jack, you are a good liar and always have been” Lucas smiled “Right, I think it is time to go home. This is enough adventures for one day” Ric said “Yeah, I have to get some wedding plans done. Well, if Belle is home. He was tired and he hoped that Belle was too so they could do the wedding plans the next day. When he walked into the house, Beth and Tony were sitting on the sofa. “Hi son. How was your day?” Tony asked “Yeah, it was alright apart to Jack pretending not to be able to slow the boat down” Lucas laughed “Do you want anything to eat?” Beth asked “Nah, I think I will go to and see when Belle is and start with some wedding plans” Lucas answered “She is in the bedroom” Beth smiled “Ok, thanks” Lucas replied and walked into the bedroom. Belle was sitting on the bed looking at their secondary school yearbook. “Class of 2001. Seems hundreds of years ago” Lucas laughed “Oh, Lucas! You scared me there” Belle said “Sorry, hun” Lucas smiled and kissed her on the lips “Yeah, I was looking at the group photos of all of us” Belle replied “Look at that one” Lucas smirked as he spotted a picture of Drew and Belle kissing “Yeah, Mattie took that a few weeks before the whole thing with Amanda happened. I begged her not to put it in the yearbook but it was to late as well as the awards page” Belle said and flicked over the page It read; Best Couple: Belle and Drew “Well you were are a great couple” Lucas said “Yeah, but that was years ago” Belle said and kissed Lucas “I am with you now and I love you and I can’t wait until we get married” “Same here. Would you like to get started on the guest list? I think we should revise it” Lucas asked “Yeah, I will get it” Belle said and left the room Lucas looked at the picture of Drew and Belle again. He slammed the book shut and put it on the shelf. Belle returned the room “How was Jack’s boat?” Belle asked “It was interesting! I am going to have to take you out sometime” Lucas smiled “No way!” Belle laughed “What about you? How is you mum?” Lucas asked “Really good! We chatted for ages and ages” Belle smiled Belle got out a marker and crossed off one name. Irene Roberts Lucas was confused. Belle had tears forming in her eyes “Why are you crossing of Irene?” Lucas asked “Because Lucas, Irene died a couple pf years ago” Belle wept “Oh no!” Lucas said and hugged Belle while she sobbed in his shirt After a while, Belle got herself together. “I was thinking about going to her grave tomorrow” Belle said “I will go with you if you want” Lucas said “No, I would prefer to do it on my own” Belle said She started to right down names Drew Curtis, Jessica Curtis, Emma Curtis, Amanda Vale, Ali Baker “I am missing something?” Lucas asked “I haven’t invited Drew and I want to invite him and his wife and daughter as well as my mum and little sister” belle smiled “Sister?” Lucas asked “Yes, Ali. She is 4 and she is my sister” Belle smiled “Fair enough” Lucas said “What about you? Want to invite anyone extra?” Belle asked “Nope” Lucas said Belle looked over the guest list. She read out the name to Lucas “Tony, Beth, Leah, Dan, VJ, Ryan, Cassie, Brad, Sally, Martha, Jack, Ric, Mattie, Alf, Drew, Jessica, Emma, Amanda and Ali and then all our friends from the city” “Yeah, that is all good” Lucas smiled He looked at the clock. The time went so fast. It was now 12 at night and he was so tired “I think we should do this in the morning” Belle said “That sounds like an idea” Lucas smirked and yawned Belle cleared off the bed and she and Lucas both got into in. Lucas leaned over and kissed Belle. She turned over and started to think about Irene again. She was really heartbroken over it. What would she do tomorrow when she went to her grave? Would she say sorry for not being here when Irene needed her? Would she say sorry for all the trouble she had cause Irene when she was younger?
