PINK Posted April 15, 2007 Report Share Posted April 15, 2007 It was 5 weeks later, Cam was scheduled for court in three weeks and he was out on bail. Martha woke up and had the sudden urge to be sick, she ran to the bathroom to be sick she was as quiet as she could be as she didn’t want anybody to hear her, unfortunately Sally heard and was at the bathroom door within seconds, “Martha, you ok?” she asked through the door, “Yeah” Martha said opening the door and walking out, “You don’t look ok, maybe you should go to the doctors” “No I’m sure I’ll be fine, oh what is that smell” Martha said disgusted, “Um I can’t smell anything” Sally said confused, “I think it’s your perfume” Martha said cringing, “Oh no” she said as the realisation of her symptoms hit her, she had only felt this way once before and that was about four months ago when she was pregnant to Ash, “I have to go” Martha said rushing into her room to get changed. Martha walked into the chemist at Yabby Creek, She walked up to the place where the pregnancy test were kept she picked one up and started to make her way over to the counter when… “Martha” Colleen shrieked, “Colleen” Martha said “What are you doing here?” she asked “Oh Madge Wilkins works here but she out her hip out so she asked me if I’d cover for her, “So you’re going to be here for a while?” she asked dreading the answer, “Oh only three hours then someone else takes over” she said smiling then noticed Martha’s hand behind her back like she was trying to hide something, What you got there?” she asked pointing to the arm that was behind her back, “What?” Martha asked innocently, “There behind your back” she said still pointing, “Oh nothing” she said, “Come on let me see” she said coming closer, “I don’t have anything really” Martha said placing the box back on the shelf but didn’t put it securely enough and it fell of straight onto the floor, “Oh my” Colleen said looking up “Your pregnant” she said pointing her finger at Martha, “Colleen I don’t know but I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t tell anyone” “Oh of course pet you know you can trust me I won’t tell a soul” she said picking up the pregnancy test and walking towards the counter. Martha groaned and followed her “Anyone but Colleen” she thought to herself. “Hello, anybody home?” Martha yelled as she entered the house after she got back from Yabby Creek, She put her bag down on the kitchen table, opened it and slowly brought the test out, She took in a deep breath and made her way towards the bathroom. Martha came out of the bathroom five minutes later and placed the stick down on the table she couldn’t look at it, she finally got enough confidence to go over there, She hesitated a few time before finally looking “Tow pink lines” she thought “I’m pregnant” Sally walked into the House half an hour later to see Martha sitting on the couch crying, “Hey what’s wrong?” she asked as she came and sat next to her, “I’m pregnant” she said “And I don’t know who the father is she said breaking down” “Oh come here” she said bringing her into her arms, “Shhh” it’ll be ok” Sally assured her. “What am I going to do Sal?” Martha asked once she had calmed down a bit, “You have to tell Jack” she said, “I know” Martha said, “But what if it turns out not to be his?” she asked, “Well I guess you’ll have to cross that bridge when you come to it but right now you have to tell Jack and you two can figure out where to go from there, Martha nodded she knew what she needed to do. “Knock, knock” Martha said as she enter the Hunter/Holden house, Hey love Tony said coming around the corner “Jack’s in his room”, “Oh ok, thanks” Martha said as she turned around and made her way to his room. “Hey” She said as she opened his door, “Hey” Jack said sitting up “What’s up?” he asked, “Um” Martha said, Jack could tell she was nervous “We need to talk” “Ok” Jack said not sure of where this was going “What’s up?” he asked as she sat down next to him on the bed, “Ok what I ‘m about to tell you is…” she stopped, “Come on Martha you’re scarring me” he said, “I’m um” she stopped again, she knew what she wanted to say, she knew what she had to say but she just couldn’t find the words, “Jack I’m pregnant” she said as all the words just came tumbling out of her mouth, Jack looked at her stunned but his expression soon turned into a smile, “Oh my God” he said he kissed her “I’m going to be a dad he said to her, “Jack” she said, “Yeah” he said looking at her, “What?” “Think about it I’m pregnant but there’s no guarantee that it’s yours” she said, Jack looked at her she was right, there was no guarantee the baby was his it could be Cam’s, “Oh” Jack smile suddenly feel and his once overjoyed expression now hurt, “Jack please say something” she said “There is a 50 percent chance that it is yours” Jack looked at her “yeah Martha a fifty percent chance, what if it’s not mine?” he asked her, “Well” Martha said “We will schedule a paternity test and find out for sure”, “Ok” Jack said looking at her “I love you” he said, “Martha looked at him, it was the first time he had said it since they had gotten back together, “I love you too” she said, He smiled at her as he kissed her and they fell back on the bed together. They lay together and hour later as Jack was stroking her hair, “Jack” Martha said “Yeah” he said looking down at her, “If the baby turns out not to be your’s” she hesitated “Will you leave me?” she asked, Jack looked at her, “Hey” he said as he felt her body shaking with tears, “I will never leave you” he said as her brought her head up to look at him, “Ok” she said as she smiled up at him “I love you” she said, “I love you too” he said bringing his lips down to meet hers.
