Here is the next update: FLETCHER HOME Rocco, Ric, Kayla, Pippa, Sally and Brad are sitting at the table. Kayla is feeding Pippa. Cassie and Lucas come in. Kayla, Rocco, Cassie and Lucas are freeze when they see each other. LUCAS: I should go home... KAYLA: You don't have to go, Luc. LUCAS: I just don't want it to be weird. KAYLA: It won't be, come on. Cassie and Lucas walk to the table. Rocco smiles at Cassie but she ignores him. ROCCO: Cas... CASSIE: Let's not. RIC: What's going on? CASSIE: Nothing. BRAD: Well... help yourselves. ROCCO: Yeah, I'm going to take a walk. He leaves. Cassie frowns and Lucas puts his arm around her shoulders. Kayla sees this and lifts a brow. She continues feeding Pippa. RIC: Er... I'm going over to Mattie's. See you. He leaves. KAYLA: Dad, would you mind if I took Pippa to the beach? BRAD: No, that'd be great! SALLY: Yeah, thanks for offering, Kayla. Pippa seems to like you. KAYLA: I like her as well. She pics Pippa up and leaves. Brad winks at Sally and she blushes. SALLY: Cas, you guys can just take your time here. Brad and I are going to lie down for a while. Brad and Sally walk upstairs, Cassie smiles. CASSIE: Seems no one wants to be around us. LUCAS: I guess everyone feels sorry for us. How pathetic are we? CASSIE: As pathetic as they come. Do you know what the worst part is? LUCAS: I'm scared to guess. CASSIE: I really like Jane. She's nice and smart and creative... how pathetic is that? Lucas hugs her. ON THE BEACH Jane is sitting on the beach, looking at the ocean. Rocco sits down next to her. ROCCO Hey. Jane, right? JANE: Yeah. Rocco? ROCCO: So what brings you here? JANE: To the beach or to the Bay? ROCCO: To the Bay. JANE: Well we lived in the city. Then my mum got sick. The doctors told us to move to a place where the air is cleaner. And we came here. ROCCO: I'm sorry to hear about your mum. Will she be okay? Jane shrugs sadly. JANE: I don't know. What about you? Why are you in the Bay? ROCCO: I thought it looked like a good place to start over. A new beginning. JANE: Yeah... ROCCO: I could show you around if you want? JANE: I'd like that... Thanks. They stand up and walk in the Diner's direction. Johnny watches them from behind a bush. He sees Kayla and Pippa walking to the beach and smiles when they Kayla throws a towel on the sand. She sits down next to Pippa and they start chatting. KAYLA: Pip, you want to build a sand castle? PIPPA: Yes! A big one! Kayla laughs and the holds Pippa's hand as they go and fill their buckets with water. They go back and start building a sloppy looking sand castle. Johnny walks towards them with a sinister gleam in his eyes. JOHNNY: Hi. KAYLA: (Looks up) Hi. She continues with the building, helping Pippa carefully. Johnny kneels next to them. JOHNNY: You know, I am a master sand castle builder. He winks at Pippa PIPPA: Really? JOHNNY: Well, no. I suck at building sand castles, but I'd like to help. KAYLA: Why? JOHNNY: Because it looks like fun. KAYLA: Yeah right. PIPPA: Kay, let him help! JOHNNY: See? Come on, please Kay? KAYLA: It's Kayla. JOHNNY: Pleased to meet you Kayla. I'm Johnny. He holds out his hand and Kayla reluctantly takes it. They shake hands. JOHNNY: Okay, it doesn't look like fun. But I still want to help. Please? KAYLA: Fine! As long as you don't mess our castle up! So here is my next part - thanks so much for the feedback by the way. xxx ON THE BEACH Kayla, Johnny and Pippa are laughing while building the sand castle. Then Johnny falls down on his back and looks at the two girls. KAYLA: Now what? JOHNNY: I need to tan. KAYLA: Whatever! You said you wanted to help, so help. JOHNNY: Why don't we go for a swim? You'll like that won't you, Pip? PIPPA; Yes, fishy! JOHNNY: Kayla? Kayla nervously touches her sleeve and then smiles. KAYLA: Okay, fine. She picks Pippa up, but Johnny stops her. JOHNNY: Don't worry, I'll take her. KAYLA: Are you sure? JOHNNY: Yeah. KAYLA: You want to swim with Johnny, Pip? PIPPA: Yes! Johnny picks Pippa up and the three head to the water. THE DINER Jane and Rocco are sitting there for drinks. Rocco looks distracted. JANE: Something wrong? ROCCO: No. I'm just thinking. JANE: About Cassie? ROCCO: No! Why? JANE: Why what? ROCCO: Why would I be thinking about Cassie? JANE: I thought the two of you were... ROCCO; No, we were... sort of. But we're just friends. JANE: I see. Then what were you thinking about? ROCCO: My brother. JANE: You have a brother? ROCCO: Yeah, Johnny. JANE: Cool. ROCCO: Not really. I don't know why I'm thinking of him all of the sudden... It's not like there's even a chance I'll see him again soon. JANE: Why is that? ROCCO: He's in jail. JANE: I'm sorry. ROCCO: Don't be. It's where he belongs. ON THE BEACH: Pippa screams as a cold wave hits her. Johnny lifts her up high in the air and she laughs. He lets Pippa sits on his hip with his one arm around her and uses the other arm to pull Kayla closer. He looks down and frowns. JOHNNY: Hey what's that on your sleeve? KAYLA: Shi... shoot. I guess it's some of Pippa's juice. She rubs it off in the water and Johnny looks at her with a frown. KAYLA: What? JOHNNY: Thank you. KAYLA: What for? JOHNNY: This has probably been one of the best days of my life. He sighs and Kayla frowns. KAYLA: Johnny... what's going on? JOHNNY: There is something I need to tell you. Come on, let's get out of the water. FLETCHER HOME - LIVING ROOM. Cassie and Lucas are trying to decide which movie to watch LUCAS; What about Ice Age? CASSIE: Funny. Come on, let's just watch Just Like Heaven please? LUCAS: No, it's a chick flick! CASSIE: Ice Age is a cartoon. LUCAS: It's still cool. CASSIE: It's Pippa's favourite movie! LUCAS: All right... Rush Hour? CASSIE: No. Walk the Line? LUCAS: NO! What about Mr and Mrs Smith? CASSIE: Fine. She puts in the DVD and they sit down on the couch. CASSIE: You know you only like this movie because of Angelina. LUCAS: And you only like it because of Brad. CASSIE: So that's settled then. They laugh and turn to the TV. SALLY AND BRAD'S ROOM. Sally and Brad are cuddled together. BRAD: I hope he doesn't stir up trouble. SALLY: Well, if he's out on parole there's not much he can do. BRAD: Well as long as he stays far away from my daughter.
