Thanks you guys!

Here is the next update.

KAYLA AND JOHNNY'S PLACE.

Kayla enters.

KAYLA:

Johnny? Are you here?

She walks into the room. Johnny is lying on the bed.

KAYLA:

I called you. Why didn't you answer?

JOHNNY:

What are you, my mother?

KAYLA:

No... sorry.

JOHNNY:

What took you so long? Had a nice chat to your father about how I haven't really changed?

KAYLA:

I don't know what you're talking about.

JOHNNY:

Whatever.

KAYLA:

Johnny, what's going on?

JOHNNY:

Nothing. I'm going for a walk on the beach. I'll be back later.

KAYLA:

Eh, yeah... I'm heading out too. I'm going to try and talk to my father. Do you want to come?

JOHNNY:

No. What time will you be back?

KAYLA:

Late... Sally invited me to have dinner with them... it'll probably be after nine.

JOHNNY:

Well call me then I can come and pick you up.

KAYLA:

Sure.

Johnny walks out. Kayla waits for a while before she heads out as well.

ON THE BEACH:

Johnny is walking along the beach. He suddenly stops and whistles. Sam and the guys come out from behind the bushes. They all laugh and take five.

JOHNNY:

Hey, guys. Come over to my place about six tonight. Kayla will be out then we can talk about getting some load!

SAM:

Hey, Johnny's back! I knew you weren't going to play it safe for much longer! Does your girl still think...

JOHNNY;

She doesn't know a thing. Her idiot father knows, but it's not like she's going to believe him.

SAM:

Fantastic. So when are we going to start using what we've got? And by that I mean Kayla.

JOHNNY:

I'm not an idiot. Just be patient. When there's no turning back for her... we have to wait until she doesn't have a choice. And remember - my place at six.

Johnny walks away. He doesn't see Kayla coming out from behind a bush nearby. She takes her cell phone out of her pocket and types up a message.

FLETCHER HOUSE

BRAD:

I know I'm supposed to be mad at her, but I can't help feeling sorry for her. And scared. And worried.

SALLY:

Sits down next to him.

Well of course you're worried! She's your daughter.

BRAD:

If she only gave me the slightest hint that she still wants a relationship with me, I'd jump at it.

His phone beeps. Sally picks it up and hands it to him.

BRAD:

It's from Kayla...

SALLY:

What does she say?

BRAD:

This doesn't make any sense...

SALLY:

Brad? What does she say?

BRAD;

Dad. I know I've been an idiot but please - If I'm not home at seven come and look for me and bring the police.

SALLY:

She's found out about Johnny!

BRAD:

Yeah... what do we do? Just wait?

SALLY:

What else can we do?

JOHNNY AND KAYLA'S HOUSE

Kayla is sitting in the room. It is 17h45. She hears the door being unlocked and jumps into the closet, hiding.

JOHNNY:

Babe? Are you here?

He walks into the kitchen where he finds a note.

JOHNNY:

Dear Johnny. I decided to go to my dad's early. I'll be back about seven. Love you. Kay.

He picks up his phone and dials a number.

JOHNNY:

Sam. It's Johnny. Yeah, she's left you can come. See you in a second. Bye.

JOHNNY AND KAYLA'S PLACE

18:55

Johnny and the guys are sitting in the room. Kayla is watching them out of the closet, breathing softly.

JOHNNY:

Okay, so one of us can keep lookout. And then the others go in.

SAM:

What if the familiy is home?

JOHNNY:

No problem. We'll be armed. No if there is any trouble, I want one of you to go up and get the toddler. If one of us has her, there won't be any trouble. They'll co-operate.

There is schreeching tyres outside as cars stop. Sam looks out of the window.

SAM:

It's the coppers!

JOHNNY:

Quick, give me the plans!

SAM:

We've been dobbed in!

JOHNNY:

Just give me the plans!

Sam throws the plans to Johnny and he opens the closet to throw them in it.

JOHNNY:

Well what do we have here? Hey babe.

He jerks Kayla out of the closet.

JOHNNY:

You just made the biggest mistake of your life.
