Roccoluver Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 Part 10 Surf Club Rocco sat waiting for Sam and Matilda to turn up, Colleen delivered his O.J. “Thanks” he said, tipping Colleen who smiled and nodded before hurrying off back to her lair. “Hey old buddie” Rocco spun round to see Caleb standing behind him with a envelope. “What do you want?” Rocco asked. Caleb smirked “You might want to discuss this in private”. Rocco shook his head “Can’t, meeting someone” “Oh I think you’ll want to” With that Caleb started to walk off. Burying his head in his hand, Rocco thought about it briefly before taking off after Caleb. Diner. Josh walked in, god did he hate work but at it least it paid the massive bills and with his qualifications it was all he could get. He smiled at Leah. “What can I get you today?” she asked. “Coffee” “Okay, what type?” “Huh, oh of course, black, 3 sugars” Leah raised a eyebrow at him. “Hey it’s better than getting drunk” She nodded and raced off to get his order. Behind the Surf Club “What do you want?” Rocco asked angrily. Caleb smirked at him “I hear you can get some drugs, the good stuff”. Rocco shook his head and turned to walk away. “You heard wrong man, I don’t do that anymore”. Caleb walked up and grab his shoulder, Rocco flung Caleb to ground. “Tougher than you look” Caleb said, picking himself up and dusting off, thrusting the envelope at Rocco. “What’s this”. “Open it, it may change your mind”. Rocco opened the envelope, he froze in shock at the sight of the first picture. “You were very photogenic” Caleb commented, “I like this one best”, pulling out one of Rocco and Caleb on Sally’s couch. Rocco tried to swallowed the lump in his throat. “You don’t get me those drugs and Miss Fletcher and co can see all the fun things you’ve gotten up to” “You were using me” “The whole time, you know you could of done one thing right in your pathetic excuse for a life and made it easy but no, you know how sick I got of dishing out that bull about love and ****” Rocco barely held back the tears threaten to bust out. “Get me those drugs or else”. Diner “Thanks” Josh said as Leah handed him his coffee, looking around the diner for a spare seat he couldn’t see on anywhere. Great he thought to himself. “Hey” a girl said, “You seat here, I don’t mind” “Thanks” Josh said. “I’m Cassie” Cassie held her hand out. “Josh” he said shaking Cassie’s hand. Cassie smiled “Nice to met you” “Yeah, nice to met you to” Josh took a drink of his coffee. “So you new here?” Cassie asked. “Yeah, you could say that” “Cool, I’ll show you around, if you have time”. Summer Bay beach Rocco stormed past Cassie and Josh, Cassie held her hands up in surrender “Wooah, slow down buddy” she called out, Rocco just continued on his way. “That was, strange” Josh commented, Cassie nodded. “So, you’ve been looking after you’re family since you were 13” Cassie asked, changing the subject. Josh stared away, into the blue ocean. “Well not really, just helping mum, dad walked out” Cassie nodded; she could tell it was a sore subject. Archer house- Later that day “Everything okay” Josh asked sitting next to Sam. Sam nodded “Yeah, just me and Matilda wait for ages for Roc and he never showed up”. “Really?” “Yeah” Sam turned away from the T.V to stare at Josh “Do you know something”. “I know a lot of things” Sam glared harder. “Fine, I saw Rocco on the beach today about 12ish, he looked upset”. Sam got off the couch and marched to his room, Josh rolled his eyes and changed the channel. Josh smiled as Rebecca came into the room “Hey princess, wanna watch some T.V”. Rebecca shook her head and held her stomach “I don’t feel so good”. Josh got off the couch and knelt next to her. “Bex what’s wrong?” “Stomach hurts” “Oh” Josh felt a wave of relief come over him, only a stomachache. “Don’t worry you’ll be fine, lets get you into a warm bed and, Bex?, Bex?” Bex lay unconscious in Josh’s arms. “Sam!, SAM!, call the hospital now!” Josh took her pulse, he felt more concern as he discovered it was weak. “Come on Bex don’t do this to me” he pleaded “Oh my god, what’s wrong with Rebecca” Sam asked. “Just call the ambulance” Josh shouted back. Part 11 Northern Districts Hospital “Will she be okay” Sally asked, Josh frowned at the floor. “I don’t know okay!” Sally nodded, Josh put his hands up in the air. “I’m sorry, its just, if anything happens” Right on cue the doctor walked in. “How is she?” Josh asked, the Doctor frowned at him “Who are you?” “I’m her brother” “I want to speak to her parents” “I’m her caregiver” “Well” the Doctor said, frowning deeper at Josh “A care giver is meant to care, that requires looking after the child” he said in mocking tone. Sam pushed his way in front of Josh. “My brother does care for us” he said. The doctor snorted “Sure, so its normal for you to let little children drink dish washing liquid, if you don’t mind I have to go check up on the patient and give her some CARE”. Sam and Sally shared a glance. “It’s my fault” Josh said in defeat “I knew it, I can’t raise a child”. “Josh” Sally said, He shook his head and walked out of the waiting room, Sam went to follow but Sally held her arm out. “I think he needs sometime on his own”. Fletcher house Rocco walked into his room, dumping his bag on the floor, he pulled out the drugs he had gotten for Caleb, slamming them down on his desk he stared at the pack of drugs, he felt so useless and pathetic, He could never stand up for himself and now he was letting himself being pulled back under, after all the progress he had made. Crawling into bed he pulled the cover over himself and curled up into a tight ball. Surf Club Caleb sat slurping his O.J, very soon he’d have major moneymaking drug outfit and Rocco would be the one doing all the work. He smirked at his brilliance, getting an ex-gang member in the bed was the best idea ever. Summer Bay beach Josh stared out to the ocean, wild and untamed. He wish we could just swim away, but he couldn’t. He already felt bad about walking out of the hospital. “Hey” it was Cassie, she sat next to him. “What’s up?” she asked “I have to get to the hospital” Josh said getting up, Cassie jumped up in shock. “What’s wrong?” “Bex is sick” he said “I’ll come too” “You don’t have too” “But I want to” Cassie said truthfully.
