Annette Posted August 13, 2006 Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 That ending was some cliffhanger! The only thing is, I can't imagine Kane ever falling in love with anyone else other than Kirsty... What I mean is, I think Kirsty would have been capable of falling in love with someone else because she had a normal family and upbringing so a more confident background. But I think, although Kane could fall in love truly, madly and deeply (as he did with Kirsty) he was the type of person who would only ever truly love anyone once. Ah yes, but that's why he just can't keep away from Kirsty! I agree with what you are saying, but I think if he had never come back to the Bay for Kirsty, he might have found someone else, even if he didn't love them the way he loved Kirsty. I think that going out with her would have made him able to have a normal relationship with someone else. Does that make sense? I think that if he really had decided never to try to get back with Kirsty he might have convinced himself that he loved someone else and could be happy with them. I'm a few chapters behind but I loved the way you dealt with Claire's grief about her miscarriage and I love that you're not making it simple for KK. Twists make it more interesting.
