I think he undergoes surgery to donate bone marrow for baby Kerry and i assume dies on the table. Although I like the character I think it's a good way of writing him out, unusual way. rather than him taking a bullet for someone, it's more thought out and will be more poignoint. Will be interesting in years to come to see the ramifications on baby Kerry.
