Chapter 1: You'll alway hold the key to my heart. Jack walked through the door at the hunter house to find Sam sitting on the couch with her arms crossed looking like she was thinking very hard. “Hi” he spoke softly wondering what was bothering her. “I saw you” she said blankly and to the point. Jack looked at her strangely not quite knowing what she was talking about. “Huh what are you talking about” he asked her. “You and Martha down at the beach you were hugging and to me you looked pretty cosy” He let out a sarcastic laugh. “I was just comforting her she's going through a lot right now” Sam turned her head slowly to look at Jack. “Are you sure that's all it was” “I'm sure” he said. “Ok” she said reluctantly ”ok, so we're good” he said happily coming to sit down next to her. “We're good” she said as he came into kiss her, “on one condition” she said pulling away and looking him straight in the eye, “You look me in the eye right now and tell me you don't love her” Jack looked at her he opened his mouth but couldn't seem to make any words come out. “I I” he stuttered Sam sighed and looked away “that's what I thought” “I'm so sorry I care for you and Rory so much” “But you love Martha more” she finished his sentence for him. Jacked looked at her remorse written all over his face “I'm so sorry I thought I was over her I really did but” “It's ok” Sam said understandingly “I understand go to her do whatever it takes to get her back don't ever give up I know she loves you too” “You think so?” he said hopefully. “I know so how could a women resist a guy that loves her as much as I know you love her, now I'm going to go and I don't want you to worry about me or Rory” she said. “Thankyou” he said as he brought her into his arms. She nodded “It's ok” Martha sat on her bed she was so confused she thought she was over him she thought that she would never feel those feelings again but today at the beach it had just felt so right to be there with him like old times jut mucking around having fun she sighed and fell back on her bed she slowly turned her head and looked at her bedside table she slowly brought her hand to the handle of one of the drawers and opened it cautiously knowing what was inside she took a deep breath and placed her hands around a box looking just big enough to fit a picture inside she slowly opened the lid and bit her bottom lip as she observed the contents there was a picture of her and Jack on there wedding day they looked so happy, and placed just on top of the picture were two white gold rings they were her wedding rings the rings her heart ached to wear so much because of what it would mean if she was wearing them it would mean that her and the man of her dreams the man that she so desperately wanted to spend the rest of her life with were together but that wasn't the case she had been stupid she had ruined the best thing in her life and now he had moved on and she was pregnant to another guy. “My life officially sucks” she said out loud as a tear quietly trickled down her face, she looked down at the rings would it really hurt if I try them on one last time she thought but then wondered if she put them on if she would ever be able to take them off again? Martha quietly brought her hands to the rings hesitating a few times but finally came into contact with them she slowly picked them up and slid on the wedding ring followed by the engagement ring she sighed as a smile grew on her face it felt so good to wear them again she brought her hand out in front of her as she held back the tears her door burst open. “What are you doing” Sally asked Martha brought her hand down and started to sob uncontrollably, Sally hurried over to the bed and wrapped her arms protectively around her. “I love him so much, I miss him I love him so much” she sobbed into Sally “I love him so much”

He has to go and they have to hug and kiss and get back together, yada yada, you know how to do it And the baby she's pregnant with has to be Jack's. Did I mention that? PINK Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Chapter 2: Never Letting Go “How are you feeling?” Sally asked as she cautiously entered Martha’s room. Martha shrugged “I don’t know” “You haven’t taken them off” Sally said referring to the rings wrapped neatly around Martha left ring finger. She nodded silently “I couldn’t bring myself…” she stopped “I couldn’t bring myself to let go” she finished. “Maybe you don’t have too” Martha snapped her head around to face Sally “but he’s with Sam” she argued Sally looked at her “look just talk to him you never know maybe he feels the same” “I doubt it” she said shaking her head “Just talk to him” Sally said patting Martha on the knee, standing up and walking out the door. Martha sighed and fell back on her bed “what was she going to do?” Martha stood at the waters edge lost in her own thoughts when she suddenly felt another body brush up against her own. “Hey” he said looking down at her. “Hey” she said back to him. “How are you going?” he asked trying to start some kind of conversation. “I’m ok as well as can be expected I suppose” “Yeah” he said sighing and Martha could tell there was something on his mind and she didn’t like that he was keeping it from her. “What’s wrong” she asked, Jack sighed “me and Sam broke up” “Oh I’m so sorry” she said sounding sympathetic but secretly her insides were jumping up and down but she didn’t want to get to ahead of her self for all she knew it could just be a petty fight that would be resolved after they had just calmed down a bit so she decided to find out for sure. “What happened” she asked. Jack looked over at her “here it goes he thought if you blow this you’ve just lost every chance of any form of relationship. “It was about you actually” At the sound of that Martha’s ears quickly perked up she snapped her head around to look at him. “What about me” she asked eager to find out what was going on and how she had succeeded to do what she had planned without even knowing it “wow I’m good” she thought to herself. “She made me look her in the eye and tell her that I didn’t love you and I couldn’t do it” he said looking out to the ocean until he finally plucked up enough courage to look at her. He looked at her and was surprised that she wasn’t going ballistic at him and he could’ve sworn that the look on her face was the look to tell him that she felt the exact same. It felt like everything was going in slow motion to Martha as she saw Jack leaning into her as his mouth got just millimetres away from hers he looked into her eyes as if to ask her permission, she nodded slightly as he came closer and slowly put his hand around her neck and pulled her in closer until there lips were connected at last they were together again….. As they pulled away from each other they looked into each others eyes as if they were finally reunited with there long lost lover. Jack smiled down at the beautiful women in his arms he couldn’t believe that he had given her up without a fight before but he knew sure as hell that he wasn’t going to do it again. “Is it to soon to say I love you” he asked wearily. “I love you too” she said with a smile “to tell you the truth I don’t think I ever stopped I’m so sorry for everything I was so stu…..” “Shhhhh” Jack said bringing his finger to her lips “don’t worry about it all we have to worry about is now, us and the baby” he said looking straight into her eyes and she could tell he was serious about making it work but she had to be sure he could handle the baby. “Are you sure because it’s going to be hard raising a baby that isn’t yours I mean I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want to…” “I’m sure, of course when we think it’s the right time we will tell him or her but I will raise it like its my ow…” But Martha cut him off “no” she started “I don’t want it ever knowing Ash he doesn’t deserve it” Jack nodded “We’ll talk about that later” Martha nodded all she wanted to think about right no was the fact that she once again was with the man of her dreams and this time she was never letting him go.
