cas Posted December 3, 2006 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 ~CHAPTER THREE~ Kim I tug on Rachel's arm and pull her towards our destination; outside a cave on a beautiful deserted beach lit only by moonlight.. I start pulling off my clothes whilst Rachel seems in total shock by my actions. "Kim! What are you doing?" She says in humorous amazement. "Come on I bet the water is lovely and warm," I reply She soon follows suit and we both run hand in hand into the water. Rachel "Sometimes I think you're mad!" "Well as we haven't had a honey moon, I think we need to do more outing like this," Kim says "Are you trying to imply that you have more craziness planned?" "Well I wouldn't say I'm a planning kind of guy, more spontaneous! I just laugh and let the water ripple between our entwined bodies. Jack I have some time off work for a while so Martha and I are on a hike in the bush. The sun is pounding down on us as we walk towards the edge of a big rock and look over the distant landscape. "It really is beautiful isn't it?" Martha says I don’t answer because I have become distracted by a faint scuffling sound near us. "What is it?" Martha asked "Shh," I reply, "There is something over there." Martha I follow Jack as he creeps up to the bush he heard the noise coming from. And then I hear it, and suddenly I am terrified by what this could be, any animal would have run off by now. Jack has now reached the bush. "Oh my God…" Sally "Cassie" I say "Yep" "Do you want to talk?" "I'm fine Sal, look I was about to pop out I'll see you later." Cassie hasn't looked me in the eye once since she has got back and I can't get through to her. "Mr. Stewart, how are you," I say as he walks in. "I'm fine pet, but you look a bit distracted, where's Cassie?" "Oh she just went out; she should be back before dinner." "Well if you're sure." He walks upstairs leaving me to my thoughts. Cassie I knew I shouldn't have come back. I know sally only means well, but it really does get frustrating when someone is constantly trying to pry into your business. I feel like a goldfish in a bowl, where everyone is observing me. Why can't they just leave it? LucMattie is watching me. I turn to look at her she quickly darts her eyes back to her magazine. I leave the room and head to my bedroom to pack a small suitcase. Mattie has obviously followed me up and before I can hid my bag she walks in. Mattie "Where are you going?" "It's not what you think." "What is it then; do you just like to pack bags for the fun of it?" I say sarcastically. Luc just looks at me and continues to pack. "Look it really is none of your business." "It is my business when it is going to affect my family." Ric I run frantically around the house trying to find everything I need. "Watch out mate!" Alf says when I nearly bump into him. "Hey Cass, I haven't seen you much since you got back you want to hang out some time?" I say as I run past Cassie "Yeah, that will be good. What are you up to?" "Oh just trying to find the things I need for Mattie's surprise." "Things going well between you two? "Yeah, never better," I reply. "What about you and Macca?" "Oh Ric, just forgot, I need to go out quickly." She runs out of the house before anyone can stop her. "What's wrong with her?"
