Meanwhile, back at Tracey’s room:

“So, erhm, ahem…” Peter broke the awkward silence that hung around since Clare’s exit to look for a cleaner.

“Uhm, yeah. I…. Oh, here comes the cleaner.” Tracey said smiling. “Thanks for cleaning up the mess.”

“Uh, yeah, thanks! I think maybe I should get going now. Due back ages ago. The boss ain’t going to like it if I’m late again. So, erhm, you take care now. And get well soon and make sure you take your medication and listen to your doctor.”

“Yes, mum! Now, will you get going? Thanks for coming! I’ll see you some other time.”

And with that, Peter Baker exited the room and left to look for his fiancée. He had sensed that something was wrong when Clare had just run off abruptly. He wondered what was up seeing as that he and Tracey were only just talking. ‘Women. Go figure!’ Peter sighed.

Tracey Thompson was reclining on her hospital bed thinking about the events of the past day. Eve was dead. She overdosed on pills. Peter found her. Rachel saved her life. And that dream. Clare running out of the room. ‘Yup, it has indeed been a long and hectic day.’ Tracey thought to herself.
