that was beautiful...and horrible.

You were right it did make me cry but there was some really touching moments in there too. I hope Kirsty's granddad figures out what's going on.

Poor Kane, really well written ILM.

In the distance the blue sea sparkled in the sunlight while a ship sailed leisurely across the water. Nearer inland the surfers would be riding the waves, taking advantage of the wind that was frantically rustling the garden trees, but the myriad of buildings and streets inbetween blocked an actual view of the beach from the Phillips’ dismal house.

What an absolutely stunning description. Fabulous!

nearly toppled the dresser while experimentally seeing if the bottom drawer would still take his weight if he stood on it.

Kirsty said her Grandad would make everything alright and Kane had never trusted anyone like he trusted Kirsty.

"But I haven't got any cheese, Grandad!"

So cute! I love how you get into their childhood thoughts, it's so realistic the way you write children.

OMG :o cliffhanger! Love The Dark, poor Kane's terror. You've really got him tugging at the heart strings now ILM.

Kirsty just has to get there ontime and don't let everyone think the worst of Kane...please?
