Drew Posted July 14, 2006 Report Share Posted July 14, 2006 CREDITS PREVIOUSLY ON HOME AND AWAY A new life was welcomed into the world… DOCTOR: [Lisa screams in pain and pushes, you can hear a baby crying. Dan and Leah smile] It’s a girl! LISA: Oh thank god! [sounding relieved that it’s all over, the doctor hands the baby to Leah, Dan cuts the cord. Both of them are smiling] A relationship was welcomed back in the bay… ALF: Struth! Where the hell did you guys come from? [Pippa stands up and gives Alf a hug] PIPPA: It’s good to see you too Alf. [Alf laughs] Lucas was beginning to be uncomfortable in his new relationship… DREW: [Drew smiles and kisses Lucas, he moves his hand down towards Luca’s leg. Lucas jumps] Hey, it’s ok. LUCAS: Yeah, I’m sure it is… I’m just not use to this. DREW: It’s fine. [Lucas laughs] LUCAS: [Drew smiles and takes Lucas’ shirt off] I better go. I have to walk home. [Drew seems disappointed] *** [Lucas is in bed, he gets a text message, it’s from Drew. It says “SWEET DREAMS BABE… I LOVE YOU”. Lucas goes to reply but doesn’t do anything] *** DREW: Are we ok? I’ve been getting the feeling you’ve been pulling away. [Lucas smiles] LUCAS: No, everything is just right. Sally began to feel uncomfortable around Ian… [sally walks over to the window sill and is about to grab a tissue] IAN: Oh no, don’t worry, I’ll get it. [They both go over to get one, Ian leans over Sally, rubbing himself up against her, both their hands touch the tissue, Ian looks at Sally, Sally moves away] SALLY: Sorry. *** SALLY: Sorry, I’m in your way. [sally moves and makes Ian knock the milk over] IAN: Oh sorry Sally. SALLY: Oh it’s alright Ian. Things in this house happen all the time.[sally goes to get a sponge, she washes it in the tap first, Ian watches her. Sally notices] What? [sally says with a chuckle, Sally begins to clean the spill up, Ian stands up and watches her from behind, he smiles] Irene was now locked up in a world she can’t escape… IRENE: Please let me go! [irene forces the men to stop in front of Tasha] Tasha, please! [irene is crying and so is Tasha] *** IRENE: Whose there? [The figure slowly walks up to Irene, Irene can’t see the face because the room is dark. The moonlight from the window shines onto the doctors face, It’s Corey!] What? [she notices the face and how it’s Corey] Oh my god! [Corey quickly escapes and locks the door, Irene is crying, Irene races to the door to try and get out] No! Let me out! Let me out! Please! And one group’s arrival was about to make the others believe…CHAIRTY: So when do you think we’ll go back? MAMMA ROSE: Sooner then you may think. [Mamma Rose smiles] EPISODE 8: Crazy People Plus Ian? THE HOSPITAL-DELIVERY ROOM [Lisa is lying on the bed, Leah is holding the baby, Dan watches] LEAH: She’s so beautiful! LISA: What are you guys going to call her? Have you thought of any names? [Leah and Dan look at each other] LEAH: We haven’t even thought about that! DAN: I know. It’s all happened so fast! LISA: Well whatever you’ll name her, she’ll always be beautiful, inside and out. LEAH: Of course she will! [Lisa’s smile turns to disappointment] Are you ok? LISA: Yeah, yeah. It’s just Joe. LEAH: Oh. What were you guys talking about earlier, before your water broke? LISA: He wanted me to move back in with him. DAN: And are you? LISA: I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m going to do. SUMMER BAY HOUSE- LIVING AREA [Ric walks in, Pippa is eating breakfast] RIC: Pippa! PIPPA: Ric! Oh it’s so good to see you! [They hug] RIC: Yeah. Yeah! Did I miss something? When did you get here? PIPPA: Early in the evening. RIC: How long are you planning to stay here for? [Pippa shrugs] PIPPA: Only time will tell. [Pippa smiles, and Ian walks in] Ric, this is Ian, my fiancé. RIC: Oh, nice to meet you mate! [They shake hands] IAN: Is this the trouble maker Alf was telling me about? RIC: Trouble maker? [They laugh, Sally walks in from the back door] SALLY: You decided to get out of bed did you? [sally laughs, Ian watches her] RIC: Yeah. Is Cassie home? SALLY: She’s out, so you can do whatever you want around here. PIPPA: What have you guys got planned for today? SALLY: Me? Nothing, today’s just my cleaning day. PIPPA: Can it wait? We need to go shopping for the wedding. SALLY: Oh of course! RIC: When is it? PIPPA: Next week. [Ric looks shocked] IAN: Sounds like a plan! THE BEACH HOUSE- LIVING AREA [Tasha is on the lounge, just lying there, Robbie walks in] ROBBIE: Hey. TASHA: Hey. ROBBIE: Do you feel like some breakfast? TASHA: I’m not hungry. ROBBIE: Yeah me either. [Robbie sits next to Tasha] Thinking about Irene? TASHA: I can’t believe we were that cruel to her! ROBBIE: Hey, it’s not our fault. Irene needs help. And she’s getting it so I wouldn’t worry! TASHA: She just looks so out of it. Yesterday when I went to see her she didn’t even say a word to me… She hates me. ROBBIE: No she doesn’t. TASHA: Robbie, she does! Irene hates me! THE MENTAL INSTITUTION-IRENE’S ROOM [irene is sitting on a chair, she looks all drained out. The door opens, Corey walks in, he puts his finger on his mouth, telling her to keep quiet] COREY: Sh! [Corey walks over to her] IRENE: Why are you doing this? COREY: Because you get what you deserve! IRENE: I didn’t do anything! COREY: I know, that’s what the others said. [Corey gives her a drink] Drink it! IRENE: I’m not drinking that! It’s poison! COREY: Irene… Drink it! IRENE: If you think I’m going to drink it… You are sadly mistaken! COREY: Do we have to do this the hard way? [Corey gets out a gun and pins it to her chest] Irene. Drink it! [irene looks like she’s about to cry, she gives in and drinks it] IRENE: How did you escape? COREY: Sh. That’s a story for another day. [Corey walks out. Irene stays in the chair and cries] THE HUNTER HOUSE-LIVING AREA [Matilda is reading a magazine, Lucas walks in] LUCAS: Hey. [Matilda forces a smile] What have you got planned for the day? MATILDA: Nothing. Cassie isn’t answering my calls. LUCAS: What about Belle? MATILDA: Belle isn’t answering her phone too. Everybody has problems of their own in this town to listen to mine. LUCAS: Why, what’s wrong? [Matilda gives Lucas a dirty look] MATILDA: You have got to be kidding me! [Matilda walks off, Drew knocks on the door] DREW: Hello? [Lucas walks over to the door] LUCAS: Hey. You never told me you were coming around. DREW: I thought I’ll surprise you. [Drew kisses Lucas] LUCAS: Hey. [Lucas pulls away] Sorry, Matilda’s home. DREW: Well that’s a bummer. What do you want to do today? LUCAS: Um, I was thinking of just having a day to myself. DREW: You don’t want to hang? LUCAS: Just for today. Please. [Lucas says with a grin] DREW: It’s so hard to resist you babe! [Matilda is listening behind the wall] LUCAS: Likewise I guess. [Drew kisses Lucas] DREW: Well I’ll see you later then. LUCAS: Bye. [Drew leaves, behind the wall Matilda looks terrified] MATILDA: Oh my god! [Whispering to herself] THE HOSPITAL-A ROOM [Lisa is now in a new room, Dan walks in with the baby] LISA: How’s she doing? DAN: She’s doing fine. Would you like to hold her? [Lisa smiles] LISA: Yeah, I would like that. [Dan hands the baby to Lisa, Lisa smiles] She’s so tiny! DAN: Yeah, she is! [Leah walks in] LEAH: Um Lisa, I saw Joe before. [Leah watches Lisa cradle the baby] LISA: I don’t want to see him. LEAH: Yeah, yeah. I’ll tell him that if he comes by. Dan, can we have a talk for a second? [Leah tugs Dan outside] DAN: Ok then. LEAH: Do you think we should do that? DAN: Do what? LEAH: Let Lisa hold the baby. She could get attached to it! DAN: Leah, she gave birth to the child, let her have a hold. There’s no harm in that. LEAH: Yeah, you’re right. I don’t know why I’m overreacting. [Joe walks over to them] JOE: Hey. LEAH: She doesn’t want to see you Joe. JOE: I just want to see how she’s doing. LEAH: She’s doing fine, can you just go Joe? JOE: You can’t tell me what to do! LEAH: No I can’t, but Lisa can. [Joe shoves Leah out of the way and walks into the room] Hey! [Leah and Dan enter the room] I tried to stop him Lisa but- JOE: Shut up! DAN: Hey don’t talk to her like that! LISA: Joe just get out! JOE: I just want to see how you’re doing! LISA: Well you’ve seen me. I’m laying here with a baby and a heartbeat, I think I’m fine. JOE: Can I hold it? LISA: What? JOE: The baby. Can I have a hold? LISA: Joe, just get out! JOE: I just want to have a- DAN: Mate, she said get out! [Joe looks at Dan, he looks upset and walks out] LISA: The baby is not safe here. LEAH: What do you mean? LISA: Just take the baby and go! DAN: Lisa? LISA: Just take it! [Leah takes the baby and looks at Dan] Please! Before Joe comes back. I don’t want the baby to be in any danger. SUMMER BAY HOUSE-LIVING AREA [sally puts her jacket on the table, Ian is standing near the lounge] IAN: What’s that smell? SALLY: Probably my perfume. IAN: Oh, that must be what it is. You smell nice. [sally struggles to get out her sentence] SALLY: Oh. Well. Uh. Thanks for that Ian. [sally smiles and walks upstairs, Ian walks over to the jacket, picks it up and smells it. Ric is about to walk in but notices Ian’s actions from the stairs] RIC: What the hell?! [Drew walks in from the back door. Ian quickly pretends he’s getting something off the jacket] DREW: Hey. IAN: Hey mate. Just getting some cotton off Sally’s jacket. [Drew looks confused] DREW: Ok then. [Drew walks into the foyer] What are you doing? [Talking to Ric] RIC: Sh! I’m watching him. DREW: Why? RIC: He was smelling Sally’s jacket. [Drew laughs] DREW: Alright then. THE MENTAL INSTITUTION-IRENE’S ROOM [There’s a knock at the door, Robbie, Tasha and Belle walk in] TASHA: Hey Reenie! [irene is still sitting in the chair and says nothing] BELLE: Irene? IRENE: Get away from me! [belle looks at Tasha, Tasha looks at Robbie] ROBBIE: Irene, it’s ok. It’s just us. IRENE: Leave me alone! TASHA: Irene- IRENE: Leave me alone I said! You guys don’t even care about me! TASHA: Irene what are you talking about! Of course we do! IRENE: Then why would you leave me here with him!? BELLE: With who? Ken? IRENE: No! Corey! [irene gets up and grabs Tasha by the arms] He’s here Tasha! He’s the one that’s making me go crazy! He’s forcing me to drink poison! TASHA: Irene, Corey is in jail! [Corey looks through the window of the door, Irene sees him] IRENE: Look! He’s there! [Corey quickly moves, the others look at the door] ROBBIE: Irene, no one is there. IRENE: He was there, I swear! ROBBIE: Irene, you’re just seeing things again. IRENE: No Robbie! I’m not! He’s real! Every day he forces me to drink poison! BELLE: How can he force you!? IRENE: At gun point! [Robbie laughs it off] ROBBIE: Irene, come on! IRENE: I’m serious! You believe me Tasha don’t you!? [Tasha doesn’t know what to say] Tasha! TASHA: Irene, I don’t know what to believe! [Tasha seems upset] IRENE: Well then get out! TASHA: Reenie!? IRENE: If you aren’t going to help me escape this hell, you can get out! All of ya’s! [They just stand there] Go on! Get out! Get out! [irene begins to trash the room, Tasha looks frightened] TASHA: Reenie, calm down! IRENE: How!? How can I calm down Tasha when a mad man is poisoning me!? TASHA: You’re scaring me! IRENE: Scaring you? You have no idea what I’m going through! Being frightened every night, in my dreams! You people have no idea what I’m going through! [A doctor walks in] DOCTOR: Is everything ok? We heard some noises. [The doctor notices the trashed room] ROBBIE: It’s ok. We’ll clean up her mess. [The doctor talks to a nurse] IRENE: What did you say to her? DOCTOR: Irene is everything ok? IRENE: Of course it’s not ok! I’m locked up in here against my will! DOCTOR: What caused her to make this mess? [Talking to Belle, Tasha and Robbie] BELLE: She’s just upset. [A nurse walks in with a needle] IRENE: What the flippen’ hell is that? DOCTOR: It’s just to calm you down. IRENE: Calm me down? I don’t need to be calmed down! I need to get the hell out of here! [irene tries to get out but the doctor stops her] Move! DOCTOR: Irene, please stay still! IRENE: And watch you stab a needle in me? [Tasha, Robbie and Belle watch in fright] Help me Tasha! [Another two men walk into the room, they struggle to hold her down on the bed] Let me go! DOCTOR: Irene, you need to stop moving! IRENE: You need to go to hell! [The doctor puts the needle in Irene, Irene cries in pain and squeals. Tasha looks very upset] THE PATTERSON HOUSE-KITCHEN [Dan and Leah walk in with the baby] LEAH: Are we even aloud to do this? DAN: I don’t know. What are we going to do about Lisa? LEAH: What do you mean? DAN: She needs to tell Joe the truth! It’s his child! LEAH: There is no way in hell he’s finding out that this baby is his! We’ve come too far to lose everything now! DAN: Don’t you have any guilt in you for what we’re doing? LEAH: As long as I’m happy. I don’t feel a bit of guilt in the world. I rather die then give this baby up! [Leah walks into the lounge room. Dan just stands there] SUMMER BAY HOUSE- LIVING AREA [Pippa, Ric and Ian are waiting for Sally at the lounge] RIC: How come the wedding is so soon? PIPPA: Well we’ve been together for all this time, so why wait? When we love and trust each other? RIC: That makes sense I guess. [Ric smiles, Sally runs in] SALLY: Are we ready to go? IAN: Oh! I forgot my wallet upstairs, I’ll just be a second. [ian runs upstairs] SALLY: So where are we going first? PIPPA: To shop for your maiden of honor dress, and then we’ll work off from there. SALLY: Maiden of honor? [sally looks confused] You want me- PIPPA: Yes Sally! Would you be my maiden of honor? [sally smiles] SALLY: Yes! Of course! [Pippa and Sally hug, Ric notices Ian’s wallet on the desk] RIC: That’s funny, Ian’s wallet is here. [Ric points to it, Pippa and Sally look] SUMMER BAY HOUSE-SALLY’S ROOM [ian is going through Sally’s lingerie, he takes a one piece and quickly puts it in his pocket, he sees a photo of Sally and also takes that] THE HUNTER HOUSE- LIVING AREA [Lucas is watching T.V, Matilda walks in] MATILDA: Hey. LUCAS: Hey. MATILDA: What are you watching? LUCAS: Nothing really. Just bored. MATILDA: Same… [Matilda sits down next to Lucas] Lucas, can I just say I’m sorry for the way I’ve been treating you? The way I’ve been acting is totally out of line. LUCAS: Um. That’s ok. [sounding confused by her apology] No offence or anything. But where did that come from? MATILDA: I just realized I have to wake up and move on with life. There’s no use crying over you if you’re with someone else. LUCAS: Matilda I’m not with someone- MATILDA: Who is she? [Lucas says nothing] It’s ok. I’m over it. I can handle you being with another girl. [Lucas says nothing] So. Who is she? Or rather, who are they? [Matilda smiles, Lucas says nothing] THE BEACH HOUSE-LIVING AREA [it’s now night. Robbie, Tasha and Belle enter, Robbie turns the lights on] ROBBIE: I can’t believe this is happening! BELLE: I know. Poor Irene. ROBBIE: She has to take care of herself otherwise she’ll never get out. [Tasha sits on the lounge] BELLE: She’ll be fine. Irene is a fighter. ROBBIE: Yeah, she is. [Robbie smiles] Tash, is everything alright? TASHA: Yeah. I should go over to Martha’s and get Rebecca. BELLE: Do you want me to go? I need to talk to Kit about something, that’s if she’s there. TASHA: Um sure. It’s no problem is it? BELLE: Of course not. I’ll be back soon. [belle walks out] ROBBIE: Bye. THE BEACH [On top of the beach, five people are walking in the dark, you see their faces, it’s Mamma Rose, Chairty and three other believers] MAMMA ROSE: Well here we are. Back in Summer Bay. [she smiles] CHAIRTY: All we need to do now is find Tasha and the baby. MAMMA ROSE: That shouldn’t be too hard. We’re just taking back what’s rightfully ours. [Mamma Rose turns around, Belle walks passed them. Mamma Rose smiles at her, Belle gives her a snobby look] CHARITY: Who was that? MAMMA ROSE: I don’t know. But I’m willing to find out. Maybe she could help us steal the child of the chosen one.
