Haha thanks for all the gr8 comments everyone!!!

Here's the next chapter

Chapter 13

The house looked empty. Although it was a sunny day the house looked gloomy and unattended.

“Are you sure this is the right one?” Jack asked Peter as they hopped out of the car

“I think so, we'll have to find out” Peter answered.

They knocked on the door. There was no answer. So they tried again. But there was still no answer.

“Maybe he's gone out?” Jack suggested.

“Yeah, you're right. We'll have to force the door open” Peter answered

“You sure?”

“Yep, let's go”

Jack grabbed a metal pole lying on the ground in the middle of the grass and after a lot of attempts he managed to get the door open.

Peter signaled Jack to get behind him. Peter walked in first with Jack not far behind him. They walked around the house, quietly. They searched every room then saw the bathroom. Jeremy was standing next to Martha with a gun pointing in Jack and Peter's direction.

Jack gasped, there was blood in the bath tub underneath Martha and she was very pale. She was still unconscious.

“Leave her alone” Jack yelled

“Wait, Jack, we don't want any trouble” peter said

“Yes, Jack... calm down” Jeremy said

Jack walked out, pacing up and down the hallway.

“Jeremy. Put down the gun” Peter said

“Why should I?”

“We don't want anybody getting hurt”

“All you have to do is come with me and Jack” peter said

“...and why would i do that?”

“Just put down the gun Jeremy” Jack said

“Why would I let it end like this? So I go to jail, Martha and her precious little boy jack live together happily ever after and you both get heroic titles that you saved Martha from some psycho in town?”

“I don't think so. It's going to end how I planned it” Jeremy said.

Just as he said that a police officer jumped from the window onto Jeremy. Peter grabbed the gun and put handcuffs on Jeremy's hands.

“Nice work” Peter said to the police officer.

"But how did you know to come?" he asked

"Jack gave us a call." they answered

"Okay, thats good then. Who knows what could have happened if you hadn't come"

Jack ran over to Martha's side. He held her hand.

“Martha?” Jack said

“Please don't be dead.” he said

“Jack, call the ambulance” Peter ordered.

Jack grabbed his phone, and dialed 000 and asked for an ambulance to arrive at this house.

He also called Tasha.

“Hello?” said Tasha

“Hey Tasha, it's Jack” he said.

“We've found Martha, but she's not in a very good condition” jack explained

“That's good you've found her, how bad is it?” Tasha asked

“We're not sure, the ambulance has just arrived though. Can you meet us at the hospital?” Jack asked

“yeah sure, see you soon”

“Bye” Jack said before hanging up.

The ambulance guys brought in a stretcher and lifted Martha onto it.

“What's her name?” one asked.

“It's Martha” Jack said

“Martha, Martha... can you hear us?”

“Can you meet us at the hospital?” they asked Jack

“Yes, I'll be there as soon as i can” Jack said

Jack and Peter arrived at the hospital just moments later. Martha was being taken into a special room to be checked.

Jack stood there feeling helpless and useless. This was all his fault, if he hadn't believed that stupid Jeremy guy then we wouldn't be in this position. Martha could die and he would never be able to forgive himself.

Tasha walked in.

“Jack, how is she?” she asked

“I'm not sure. They're just checking her now” he said

Tasha saw the look on his face.

“Hey, it will be okay” she said and gave him a hug. This time he couldn't help the tears from rolling down his cheeks.
