eims Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I know this happened ages ago but i missed about a week of home and away and when I came back they were calling Dalby Ric. Did they just change it without explaining why the name change occured or was it a conscious onscreen decision?
Si-Co Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I remember him saying to Alf and Dan he didn't like his first name of Eric, and still wanted to be known as Dalby. I think 'Ric' came along as a compromise.
Furze-Forever Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Ric (as we know him now) went by the name of Dalby when he used to be the Summer Bay bully. When he came back as the good guy, Ric was the name that he used. I think he wanted to drop the bad-boy-persona that went along with 'Dalby,' though Henry still referred to him as this to begin with.
emmasi Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 He had them calling him Dalby for a while because he didn't want to be called Eric - his father used to call him Eric... Then he just announced one day that he'd been thinking about it, and "Ric" would be okay. "Dalby" was a bit impersonal with his family and new friends.
AngelRose Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Thanks, I missed that to & was also wondering.
Guevara01 Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Ric is much better than Dalby, with regards to his personality change. I think it suits him more! xx
-Emily- Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Eric isn't really him if you know what I mean. Ric suits him much better.
