Yeah that one was completely lost on me too But then Mali was considering Mac as a "sister" within months of moving in so I guess anything's possible.

They're shifting the C5 afternoon showing to 5Star, with the 6-7pm showings on 5Star as normal.
-
It was mentioned in the ep that it was food poisoning he got from a dodgy kebab on the way to work.
-
Can confirm that there was never any mention in 1999 of Pippa marrying Ian, despite the longstanding claim that Sal went to their wedding...
-
That was it It was one of these little cameo things as she's a real life 'influencer' in Oz (scroll to the bottom, no spoilers in link now) - https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2024/04/06/home-and-away-spoilers-felicity-catches-out-mackenzie-and-levi/

It was mentioned in the ep - she tried to steal a handbag for a prank video
-
Though H&A did have a Derek hanging around for 7 years! https://www.backtothebay.net/characters/derek-young/

Technically he said "It's been a while since you called me" which is a bit more ambiguous

No conspiracy behind it due to the nature of their departures, it's just because they're awaiting profiles (and we've not got around to adding pics yet). I believe there's five in total, with Grant, Simon and Haydn being the others. It was decided to add placeholders for those remaining regular characters into the section not too long ago for logistical reasons, as we need all regulars available for selection in the database as we fill out our episode cast lists.

Well I’d quite like to see more of Dean’s old acquaintance Jo…

You say that like it's a bad thing...? JP's one-man-show would be quite entertaining I think!

That time of the year again, as we kick off the show's 37th season on UK screens. Usual spiel applies - this thread runs at Channel 5 pace so please be mindful of that in regards to spoilers, particularly if you've caught the first look episode on 5Star. As with last year, we start the season exactly 8 weeks behind the Australian airings.

No-one should step out of their house full stop towards the end of November in Oz (though I imagine some Final Destination Rude Goldberg type stuff would still go down even if they barred the windows).

I've had that song stuck in my head all evening with absolutely no idea why (particularly when I've been watching this week's Corrie and it doesn't really apply to Crawshaw)...then I come on here and find that...
-
Just dusting off this thread to reveal that BTTB turns 20 years old today...
-
New Year’s Day - updated it on the site a couple of weeks ago but forgot to mention in here.
-
That'll be next year for H&A.
-
Just to add that it will be returning to the usual timeslot when it returns in the New Year. https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2023/10/27/home-and-away-in-channel-5-afternoon-timeslot-change/

Daily eps dropping at 7am Monday-Thursday

Indeed, they've not been credited since this version debuted in 2018.

Can't say offhand if Nigeria had previously been mentioned, but Celia was in Tanzania (??) in 2000 - it was the embassy in Dar es Salaam that alerted the office of foreign affairs in Oz when she went missing.

There wasn't any filming in the US other than some well-placed stock footage ? ? Nice example there, funnily enough I put my location hunting skills to good use and added the warehouse location onto the SC2 IMDb page a couple of years back. There was a particularly telling moment in H&A's most recent London shoot (featuring the family beginning with B) where they took a shot of the exterior of St Thomas' in London, yet the interior of the hospital miraculously had Australian plug sockets... the stock 'nee-naw' sound effect of a UK ambulance from the 80s was a bit jarring for 2014 too ?

Our Coral interview again ?
