  1. I loved when they had a full length intro on the Monday, then shorter ones with just a recap then straight to the logo for the rest of the week. They did have some long recaps even with the full intro though, episode 3804's is over 2 minutes long before the opening titles even begin. I don't hold much hope for the closing titles though since pretty much all 7's shows use that same design of the credits along the bottom and advertising some other crap at the top.
  2. Nosferatu, silent German horror film from 1922, heavily based on Dracula.
  3. We've been let down in the past but I really think they're going to change it up for 2018. It's the 30th anniversary, they'd be crazy to keep it all the same.
  4. I'm undecided. They might be changing things up a bit, the slightly softer and rounded look to it with less intricate details and just more "simple" is something a lot of logo designers have done moving away from skeumorphism in recent years. It might be nothing but I haven't noticed it being used in ages.
  5. Has anyone else noticed they've been using the alternative logo for Home and Away in the recent promo? It's just slightly differently styled with the longer tail on the y that doesn't have the flick at the end. Pretty insignificant but could hint at a bit of a design change even though they've used the logo before in the 90's and early 2000's. Like if you compare this one they've been using to the one in the recent promo they're a bit different. I dunno, probably nothing, just something I noticed.
  6. Does anyone know why she was included for so long in the opening titles (she was in them in 2008 and she only appeared for about 2 episodes the whole year)?
  7. I'll be interested to see what direction they take Leah in now that VJ has left.
  8. Ryder's entrance to the show felt a bit half-arsed (he pretty much just moved straight into the Summer Bay house with barely a word) but I think he's an interesting character. I was a bit bummed when he started showing interest in Coco and Raffy though (ever new character that comes into the show I hope will be gay). I don't know why the writers are so reluctant to add gay characters. I mean Number 96 had a few openly gay regulars and that was all the way back in 1972!
  9. Since it's the 30th anniversary next year I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't make some sort of change to the theme. Then again, they've had the same end cards for about 7 years and essentially the same theme song arrangement for 10 years. I wish we'd have proper credits again. I never understood the timing concerns, hasn't the show been running on the same 20-25 minute timeslot for the past 29 years? They managed the long titles fine in the beginning. Call me weird but I actually liked his version. Both the singing and the arrangement, when they changed it they sort of watered down the instrumentals a bit.
