She hated him before she knew he liked her. They were starting to get along before he tried to kiss her. -

Glad I'm not the only one who spotted that. There was one scene where he was just standing beside Spencer and Sasha and there was more spark between him and Sasha than between her and Spencer I wouldn't mind them just developing a friendship there. It would be a bit weird for anything more given he was with Indi and Sasha with Spencer. I think more than anything Sasha needs a friend who is just a friend. I loved her relationship with Dex and would love to see that recreated with someone else. I think Chris would be ideal for that. -
The writers obviously put them together for those reasons exactly, because they are not interesting as a couple at all and there is no reason why they should be together, they have nothing in common. They would've been better as just friends! The other annoying thing about it is that Spencer and Maddy were introduced to the show as a super couple. They were so committed to each other that they'd rather live rough than be separated. Five minutes later Spencer is in love with Sasha!

I'm more interested to see how the others react to Kyle being kidnapped.

I think it's similar to how Kyle eventually admitted to Casey that he wasn't angry at him for killing Danny, he was angry because he never had the guts to do it himself. Not necessarily kill him, but put a stop to his manipulation and abuse. She obviously wouldn't have been impressed with what Kyle did to her and Casey but it felt a bit like she talked herself into hating him because of it more than she actually did, and as you say, the more she got to know him and realise he was completely different the more she thought she had to hate him. She was really quite harsh on him back in the early days, even when Casey had sort of gotten over it all. I've said it before, I wouldn't mind them going with Kyle/Tamara again but I don't like the idea of her just flip flopping back to Kyle 5 minutes after her and Casey have broken up, or her just being jealous of Phoebe. If they're going to go there again they should do it right. Won't hold my breath though. -
I don't see that they need to move him to the bay. The Walker's all lived on the farm which was a good distance away from the town, and now the McGuire's are out there. It really depends on what they want to do with his character. He could just get a job at Angelo's or something and between that and school he'd be around enough without having to relocate him.

If she had been willing/able to just forget about it like that then it wouldn't have meant anything to her which means that she hurt Casey for nothing. By refusing to forget it and acknowledging that it was important to her it means that she didn't just hurt Casey for a fling with Kyle. Personally I think it does a lot to redeem the situation and the character. -

Was just watching the episode on Irish TV tonight, it's a bit behind Australian pace. I must have missed this one when it aired in Aus. It was the one where Casey got out of hospital and Tamara helped him home, then went to work with Kyle and things were a bit awkward between them. Kyle wanted to move on and suggested pretending like the last 6 months never happened but Tamara refused to do it. It was great to see her acknowledge how much Kyle had actually done for her while she was sick and how much he had risked losing for her. As I said I must have missed this originally and was under the impression that she'd just gone straight back to Casey and never acknowledged what a big part Kyle played in her recovery. It was the one issue I had with her character since then, so I'm glad that it was a mistake on my part and she didn't just forget everything that had happened between them. I know this is about 6 weeks late but I just wanted to throw it in here -
^ Also the fact that his dad made him go to school because he was sick of them ringing the house says a lot. One, it implies he's at home all day, so maybe doesn't work, and two, he knows Matt isn't going to school and doesn't seem to care until it impacts on him i.e. Leah ringing all day is annoying him.
-
I already find Matt more interesting than any of the other teens they've introduced over the last few years. Maybe since Sasha? I know it's probably a fine line for the writers, introduce too many similar troubled teen types and we complain that they're just a carbon copy of some previous character, introduce too many nice normal teens and we complain that they're boring. The few brief scenes we've seen of Matt so far have me interested enough to want to see more of him. Whether he sticks around or is just a part of this crazy principal story we'll have to wait and see.

I've really grown to like her, especially since Brax went to jail It took them 3 years and God knows how many tries but they finally managed to create a female character that could be involved with a Braxton without changing absolutely everything about themselves and still exist as a character away from their relationship. -

Yeah, she said she was 2 years older than everyone in her year, so I'd say about 19. Not sure how old everyone else is though. Sasha had her 16th birthday ages ago but I don't remember her having another but yet she's in classes with Tamara who I thought was only doing her last year? Do they mix years like that in Australia? -
I quite like how Kyle is dealing with the probability of Tamara getting back with Casey. He's obviously upset about it but is being mature about it. The scene where he told Tamara that having her look at him like that still hurt was more effective for me than the entire two months of Casey being a sad sack about it when he was in that position. He only hooked up with Robyn because he needed to take his mind of everything. I'm sure Tamara could have been a friend to him if he'd let her but it's not just Brax that he's struggling with, he's still struggling with being around Tamara. Robyn was using him for her own reasons too so it's not like he took advantage of someone having feelings for him or anything. In theory it was a good trade off but she's mad as a box of frogs so it probably will come back to haunt him. Please not pregnancy though! As for Tamara hounding Kyle about trying to help him... He was the one that supported her through her amnesia and was there for her more than anyone even before they got together so maybe she's trying to repay the favour, or maybe she just genuinely cares about him and is worried. She has to know by now that Kyle isn't that close to his other brothers, other than Brax and Casey and Heath have each other and their mum to get through it but Kyle has nobody else in his life. I still really like Kyle and Tamara together, I think they have way more chemistry in their scenes than Tamara and Casey and despite all the back and forth she'd done I'd still rather she ended up with Kyle....... so yeah, these scenes of them lately hurt me as much as they hurt Kyle

And what was she talking about with April, Dex and Ricky? Surely not Kyle and/or Casey? -
IF Kyle's mother was an alcoholic and/or violent it annoys me that they haven't brought it up on screen. Casey's drinking would have been the perfect time to bring the alcoholic part up. There was something doing the rounds once that she'd drunk herself to death, again if true would have made perfect sense for Kyle and Jett to interact more. The fact that the other brothers always resort to violence pretty quick too could be used to explore Kyle's past. I remember when Romeo first showed up he was reluctant to get into fights because of how his father had been. We've seen nothing like that from Kyle.

How can you say she's the same with family and friends when she's never with any? -

I think they blew a massive opportunity with Tamara. The amnesia gave them the chance to reset the character, so to speak. We only knew her as Casey's desert girl up until then. I had no problem with her developing feelings for Kyle while she was sick. I had no issue with them becoming a couple either. However.... once she remembered everything and was confused about her feelings what they should have done is have her be brave enough to tell Kyle the truth and break up with him. Being on her own would have given us a chance to see more of Tamara the individual rather than Tamara the Braxton girlfriend. She interacted with way more characters when she had amnesia than she did before, or since. They still could have revisited the Braxton triangle a few months down the line but having her be on her own would have allowed for some proper character development. It also would have given her a chance to explore her feelings for Kyle and Casey without any pressure. I really wanted her to have a chat with someone where she actually explained why she'd developed feelings for Kyle and how she felt about that once her memory came back. How he wasn't the person she thought he was, how this new Kyle didn't fit with the Kyle she hated. Also for her to have realised that there was a completely different side to Casey that she never knew existed. How that might have affected her feelings for him. But nope. All they did was have her chop and change her feelings with no real explanation and then jump from one to the other and back again. They reset her and then reset her again. The whole thing was pointless. Really she's just another one brought in to be a Braxton plot point and any character development is unnecessary because she only exists to further Casey's story lines. (Which is why she and Kyle are perfect for each other in my opinion. They've done nothing with him either other than use him as a minor character in the other Braxton's stories) EDIT: Just wanted to add that I think it's a shame what they've done with the character because I really like the actress and was very impressed with her during the amnesia story line when she actually had something to get her teeth into. Now she's just going to revert back to mooning over Casey which is a waste. -
We haven't learned anything of note about him. Anything we think we know has come from reading between the lines of little throw away things that the writers probably didn't even give that much thought to when they put the lines in. I agree with PM, we won't see anything real of Kyle until one, or more, of the original Braxton's leave. He was brought in to kidnap Casey and set all that stuff off, then he was used to be the bad guy for cracking on to Tamara the first time, then he was the bad guy when she had amnesia and we had to suffer through 2 months of Casey's reaction to Kyle and Tamara but got absolutely nothing from Kyle in all of that. It's just so frustrating. He's being used as a plot device over and over. He's barely a character at this point. He's like Natalie. Brought in to facilitate something else happening to another character and then given no thought or attention beyond that. I did see on twitter a few things from Nic Westaway that suggested some big things coming up for Kyle. Timing wise I guess it'd be around the end of the year, maybe into the next year, but I'm not holding my breath for anything of substance. At this point I'd be happy for Kyle to end up in hospital just to see how anyone reacts to it. I still question if any of the Braxton's give a stuff about him. Obviously the original three are closer to each other than they would be to Kyle but would Heath come back from his honeymoon if Kyle was in hospital? Would Brax be willing to go to jail to avenge Kyle? I doubt it.
-
I'm worried Kyle is going to fade into the background again now that they no longer need him to play the bad guy in The Endless Suffering of St. Casey of Braxton. This recent story line is probably the most screen time Kyle has had since he showed up and most of it was just plot points to drive Casey's story. I really wish they'd give him something of his own to do.
-
Well on that basis it's possible she's still alive, but you have to wonder why Kyle was in foster care though. Romeo was in foster care even though is mum was alive. Foster care is actually designed for kids who maybe can't be looked after at home for the time being but might be able to go home at some point. It rarely works out that way, but it suggests Kyle's mother was absent or unfit rather than dead.

She's only a recurring character, there was no real need for her in the scenes when Brax was shot. The main focus there was Brax/Charlie and Heath trying to step into Brax's shoes. There was no real need for Ma Braxton to be on screen. Just assume she was told and was there off screen. I enjoy her a lot but I don't think I could cope with her as a regular character. She's fine in small doses but maybe we could have a few more small doses. -
Are we sure his mum is even dead? Look at Romeo, he was in care even though his mum was still alive. It's all well and good leaving a character's back story a blank page but only if they intend on eventually filling it.

She's some sort of event planner, I think. But whether she's actually qualified at that or just good at organising, I don't know. -
The difference there though is that there were no real feelings involved between Heath and April. They were both using each other for different reasons. Sasha had real feelings for Casey, so it's a completely different situation. I suppose if it was real life they might have been friends again eventually but as far as soaps go characters are friends when the story line needs them to be. There's no need for Sasha and Casey to be friends again at the minute so they're not.
-
I find Sasha 100 times more interesting when she's not involved with a boy. I don't particularly mind Spencer but it just feels like one of those things on H&A where it's just a random decision by another character and those involved just go with it. Indi and Dex seemed to decide that Spencer and Sasha were meant to be and then they just went with it. There didn't feel like there was any actual build up to it other then them being in each other's company for a week or so beforehand.
