I decided to wait until after I'd seen the finale before reading the second part of this.Really liked it and especially the way they suggested the kidnapping contributed to Belle's PTSD, I get the feeling it's something Aden and Belle wouldn't really want to think about. I think I'd go for "beaten up" rather than "bashed" or "attacked" but then sometimes I'm just looking to start an argument.

Um, just to make this one clear, Drew and Belle aren't half-siblings, they're step-siblings.Their parents are married but they're not blood relatives. Hopefully I'll be able to update later on today.

Thanks for your comments, glad some people stuck with this till the end. For anyone who's worried that there's still a magic door to parallel universes in Summer Bay, the pyramid is being kept under guard(which is why Ric was there in the first place)and it doesn't send everybody who touches it into another reality, it only does that if there's something for them to do there.

One thing that's been puzzling me:If memory serves me correctly, when Ian returned to the Bay in 1999, he said Pippa was pregnant.Has that ever been mentioned since?If , they really need to address it.

Thought and thought about this one and really not sure.I'm virtually certain that Bobby was still around when the Lynne McGranger Irene first appeared, back when Fin had the diving accident, but I can't remember any scenes between the two of them.It's possible they just had bits together in the Diner, possibly not even that.I think there must have been some interaction between Irene and Greg because they were both on the organising committee for that play Luke and Roxy were putting on.

I loved that scene at the B&B where Paul and Rodney were slowly piecing together all the lies Val had told and realising it was all lies.And when Paul and Jonny were reunited. Not sure if that's the end of Jasmine but I suspect not.I think her and Debbie might go to jail for a while but they'll get let off because it was basically self-defence and she'll leave after that.I seem to remember hearing a story about so maybe that's to do with how she leaves.

Okay, the guy with the wire(Nobby)was the guy that really attacked Belle.Angelo did a favour for Tim (the developers' boss)in exchange for him pointing the police in Nobby's direction.But he also wants the developers stopped so he was using Nobby to try and get evidence that Tim was involved in the attack on Belle and that he knew about the toxic waste. Where have you been?

It might be the wrong decision but it is very in character.I can well see why Aden would prioritise Belle over his education.And even without a deferral, I imagine with his HSC there's nothing to stop him applying in the future.

Not necessarily. Some characters in the past did go to uni without leaving the Bay (Dani and Irene I believe). If the writers want him to, I bet they'll find a way (maybe not necessarily uni but any kind of course that takes him away from the diner or the job on the water, whatever that is going to be). I'm sure a character like Aden can achieve more interesting goals than chopping vegetables. The writers have been working so much on him as a character and I feel that it would not give his ongoing storyline justice if they left out the bit about where he goes from here (if not for his own sake for the viewers' sake: everybody seems to end up working at the diner at some point). What was otherwise the point of studying so hard for his high school exams? Point taken, they could have him commute.I'm just thinking of the characters who've moved to a uni a couple of miles up the road and rarely, if ever, been seen again(Fin, Damian, Lucas, even Kit ceased to be permanent).It's interesting that of last year's school leavers Belle's the only one still in the show and she didn't go to uni.

He's probably worked out that going to uni generally means leaving the show...

By the way, for anyone that missed it they did a readers' Q&A with Jessica Tovey in Inside Soap recently and someone asked her if she was annoyed that the writers won't let Aden and Belle just be together.To which she replied,"I think it's kind of exciting.There's no fun in having a happy couple on screen, so it keeps things interesting when Aden and Belle have their fallings out.That said, I really miss Todd Lasance when our characters aren't together.We have a great working relationship." Reading between the lines, I'm not expecting a happy Aden and Belle any time soon...

I do kind of want to like Aden, if only because I'd enjoy the show a lot more if I didn't feel like reaching for the remote whenever he appears.But there's just been far too many false dawns.Every time I think that maybe he's matured and began to learn the right way to treat people, he acts like a jerk or behaves in a violent manner and just makes me dislike him again.Guess I'll wait a bit longer before passing judgement this time.

Glad you've posted again.I'm also wondering if Belle is pregnant and it suddenly occurs to me her blowing up at Aden could have been a mood swing.
