  11. I wouldn't say they were lying to her just to "save face" There was so much at stake, Amira's marriage breakdown is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the fallout. There is everything else to consider which I have already listed. Christian was being selfish, nothing more nothing less! When telling Amira everything it was as if he was trying to make her feel as worse as possible , when Amira says "we share a bed" Christian interrupts her with "so do we", thats just horrible. Isn't it enough you've stolen her husband now you want to stick her nose in it ? All Syed is guilty of is trying to keep everyone happy, and even in the end he was prepared to put his feelins behind him and put everyone else first! It is just unfortunate that the religion is how it is.
  12. To be honest I feel a lot more sorry for Syed than I do for Christian! Christian just quite easily revealed everything to everyone not caring who he hurt along the way, its all about HIS feelings to him and nobody else matters. I felt sorry for him up until this point but now he has completely destroyed Syed,Amira and the entire Masood familys lives!! Selfish much ? Like Syed said to Christian "Better her suffer than either of us ehh ?" It really is just a huge mess!
  13. Wow Bec!! I really do love the latest batch My faves are definitely the Hayley/Ella Scott Lynch ones The colouring is soo gorgeous!

    Emmerdale

I think he might win some good awards in the BSA's 2011 Just a shame the voting already started when his storyline started to heat up!
  17. Yeah it really was fantastic! Brilliant acting from everyone involved No , I was rather happy that Syed told him he didn't want him. What Christian did was completely out of order, and the worst part was he didn't care one bit about Amira all throughout the episode. In fact he rubbed her face in it countless times, I really wish she had hit him a slap. I know Syed isn't blameless at all but I do feel really sorry for him - he just wanted to keep everyone happy , but unfortunately he couldn't have it both ways. I get that Christian was sick of being treated the way he was by Syed but that did not give him the right to go and destroy so many lives on so many levels. I think that is what makes this storyline so unique! It isn't just like any affair storyline where a person is left heartbroken at the end of it all - Syed will be banished from his family, if they don't banish him from their home then they will be banished from the Muslim community, the Masood's business will suffer, Amira is now "damaged goods" as she puts it and will find it extremely difficult for a family to accept her in marriage, that on top of the fact that she will now be a single mother just makes her situation so much worse now. It will be interesting to see how things go from here on in with Christian and Syed though. I don't think it is the end for them both as a couple, and I am sure the Masood's will face some extremely tough times in the coming months with the Muslim community and the idea of Syed being gay and the affects it has on their religion. I am gutted that we've lost Amira as well I thought she was a fantastic characater, at least the door is left open for her to return at some point down the track with a little Syed! Now that will be a bombshell for the Masood's! Preeya Kalidas is a fantastic actress and I will miss her, even though its not been that long since she arrived. I hope at this point that Syed meets somebody else thats not as selfish as Christian! But I can't see that happening anytime soon... EDIT : Oh and another thing , I was soo pleased Amira's exit got Julia's Theme
  18. ^ Oh yeah I did like "Valentine" I just watched "Jumanji" , and it was just as great as I remembered it to be

  21. And as for the life of me I can't even remember who Sean is, he should be axed too as he's obviously made no impression on me! Sean Tully - the gay guy who works in the factory - extremely annoying! I'm sure you know I'm talking about now
  22. Oh thats a shame, I used to really like Ashley and Claire! The street will be weird without them thats for sure, I can't believe Ashley's been there 15 years. Their exit will mark the end of the line for the Peacock/Elliott family now seeing as Fred is dead and now Ashley/Claire are going to. I think there are PLENTY of others who should have been axed before the Peacocks, such as Fiz,Molly,Sean (God the most annoying person on television), John, Rosie, Michelle,Becky,Steve,Jason. Out of all the 3 big soaps Corrie definitely has the most deadwood!
  23. Syed & Christian are really breaking my heart! Eastenders really should be proud of this storyline, its such a complex situation on so many levels. Syed's situation must be so painful and hard I don't think I would be able to go through with what his parents are forcing him to do. So excited for the big showdown with Amira and Syed on monday I can't wait for the aftermath because I think it is going to really test the Masood's as a family.
  24. Love it!!! I agree with AP57 , it is very accurate, sadly!
