  1. Wow really good start, you're a brill writer, looking forward to reading more!
  2. Rachel is completely paranoid and is going to end up having a nervous breakdown, although I can't say that in her situation I wouldn't be the same because I'm sure I would be. I'm always surprised that people feel like Tony never defends himself or speaks up, he did it twice in last night's episode. When Rachel didn't want "one on one time " he told her exactly how he feels and then stormed off to his bedroom. Then in the diner he told her that she's making him feel useless. They're both in really difficult situations and I do have a lot of sympathy for Tony. I think Rachel's a lot better Mum than she realises, she tells Andy she's doing every single thing room but Harry looks happy to me! She's obviously not confident enough in her skills as a Mum.
  3. Wow Barbara love love love the icons!! Especially the Tachel and the Coleen ones
  4. Wow! Yesterday's episode was just incredible, the acting was amazing and heartbreaking I've learnt not to take TV Week seriously at all now, if that was meant to be Tony "trashing the house" and Rachel "accusing him of not caring." All I saw when I watched that scene was a heartbroken Tony trying to pretend to himself that everything was ok but deep down knowing there's every chance he could lose another son and a heartbroken Rachel just wanting some comfort from Tony, not knowing how to deal with the fact that she might never see her baby son again and struggling with the fact that she blames herself. There's been a lot of conflict over Rachel's actions today and the strength of Tachel's relationship but I honestly see no fault in either of their actions, they're both dealing with the trauma the best way they can and it's obviously causing some tension because Rachel wants Tony to comfort her and for them to go through it together but Tony wants to pretend it's not happening. I think Rachel just wanted to be able to deal with it how Tony was, because his way looked less painful but obviously that wasn't true. It kind of amused me how Tony knew she was coming out to pick a fight with him He knows her too well! And wow, the acting, particularly in that scene at night in the house. It was such a realistic portrayal of the different ways in which parents cope with losing their children and was quite symbolic in the way that at the beginning of the scene, Tony's sitting in the chair on his own in the dark and at the end Rachel's left crying in the room in the dark on her own. The scene at the end when they start to consider the possibility that Jane doesn't have Harry and they no longer have any leads was so heartbreaking (my word of the day today!) and I liked the way they came together again after their disagreement (I know TV Week tried to palm it off as being a marriage in tatters but it definetely wasn't portrayed that way to me) I think it was actually a telling indication of the strength of their marriage, they both deal with things differently and conflict as a result but ultimately come together to support each other through unimaginable situations.
  5. I definetely agree with you. I've noticed Tony and Rachel have had a lot more screentime lately I wonder if this is just a temporary thing or whether the powers that be have underestimated Tachel's popularity as a couple and are therefore giving them more screentime?? I don't think Tachel ever will become on of the 'golden' couples of H&A for all the reasons you listed above but that's fine by me, I'd much rather they continue being portrayed as the couple who are consistently stable with the occasional huge storylines than constantly being thrown in people's faces and given drama after drama to deal with......saying that I'm not rejecting this sudden rush of Tachelness Barbara - they say that doctors are the worst patients over here in the UK to Poor Dr Young couldn't sugarcoat Harry's APGAR score yesterday because she knew what it was, guess he had to be careful what he said! We might find out Harry's full name at his christening, if we get one! Tony did promise one I hope the middle name is Jack, Harry Anthony Holden is a bit of a mouthful! And it's a nice tribute to Jack. Awww baby Harry
  6. Well the day after he freaked out about Jack being the middle name, Rachel apologised and he said no it's a really nice gesture, I don't know why I got so upset. So I presumed they were keeping it? I might be wrong though!
  7. ^^ And James Mathur.....his name was on the next line, they couldn't fit him in hehe. Merli I think Harry is taking Jack's middle name so it's Harry Jack Holden!
  8. Last night was the first we heard of Harry so maybe they were influenced by Harry Potter Or maybe they realised that Harry was actually their favourite Prince and not William so went for him instead! I can't wait to see Tony holding Harry, he's gonna look so tiny in his arms! I think Harry might be wearing that hat for a while until they decide on a permanent hair style for him All the babies were actually boys I noticed which is unusual for tv babies. I thought they didn't get credited unless they get a speaking part though? Obviously not! I was hoping to see Harry Holden on the credits Karen but he's listed as baby Harry, I'm sure he'll be a Holden though! The Armstrong thing is very annoying, seeing as they made a point of saying she'd changed her name at the wedding. Plus it's actually lazier for them to write Holden coz there's less letters hehe. Very true! And they made a point that they couldn't deliver Jane's baby because there wasn't room in maternity! Although they did reshuffle that room around and add an extra door so I wonder if they were trying to make it look like a maternity room and just forgot you can see the nurses desk outside? I loved seeing Tony gushing about his new son in the diner and cooing over him and stroking his head. I was really worried they'd do a whole rejection thing with Tony once he was born, because of Jack, but I love the way they did it.
  9. I've just seen it! Best line of the night: Leah "and he is gorgeous" Tony: "err hello!!" You were right Karen, I did love it! I don't think I can actually put into words how amazing tonight's episode was, Tony was the perfect husband supporting Rachel I love him sooo much! And Amy's acting all throughout the labour was amazing. I loved Tony's face when the baby was coming out And his big smile all throughout the ep was lovely to see and how he said Harry had the Holden gripe (i think?) and Jack and Lucas used to be like that. Harry is sooooo cute I loved the scene where Tony was like "he has your eyes" and then Rachel's like "noo he looks like you!" haha......although I'm sure Harry didn't have that impressive display of black hair when he was born! Aww I love Tachel
  10. Indeed he is!! He was the perfect father to be in todays episode. And he got to the hospital much quicker than the spoilers/scans suggested. You are going to love it!! It seems they had already decided on 'Harry' seeing as there was no debate about it Awwww Thank goodness he did I really started panicking when I saw the promo last night and it seemed like he wasn't there when she was pushing. I really really like Harry now, I think because I've had so long for it to grow on me. Thank you for filling me in on what happened Karen, I'm going mad here right now hearing all these comments, I so want to see it! Aww I've missed seeing Tony as a Daddy
  11. Aww he said that? The Tony we all love is back I'm still waiting for the ep to be uploaded, I can't wait to see it! Soooo excited! You think having already had 2 kids (I guess he's only seen one birth though as he missed Jack's!) he'd know what to expect but I guess it's still disturbing for Dad's to see I'm really surprised Jane's being the creepy one, I was convinced it would be the Dad!
  12. Aww Grace, Tony finally got it right It's sweet how he's suggested having Rachel's Mum for the middle name, bless him! Loved Rachel's hormonal snapping and Tony trying not to laugh, a really nice lovely fluffy chapter, thank you so much for updating Poor Martha, it's nice that you wrote she finally had some hope for the future in the way she felt really happy about baby Grace but then she went and took a razor for her Poor girl needs some serious help and everyone's so focused on the baby they're not noticing, I just hope she soon finds the peace Tony finally has. I liked how Alf was all excited about baby Tachel haha. He can be like a surrogate Grandad seeing as the poor bubba has no grandparents!! Leah and Brad hey? I bet Rachel will love that What about her and Hugo?? Ohhh love triangle! Looking forward to your next one, 5 weeks, I'm holding you to that
  13. Totally agree! It was nice to see her have that little storyline of her own, because the last few months all her storylines have revolved around Tony and she excelled, the way she just completely broke down when she saw him was so heartbreaking. She really showed her genuine pain at the loss of that couple's baby and then her own guilt that she's been neglecting her baby so well. Even the scenes before she broke down to Tony, when she spoke to the father of the baby you could tell it had really affected her. I liked how she admitted that Tony was right and she was wrong to it reminded me of their date at his house when she said "I'm always right" The only real moan I have is that it's a shame that scene where Tony tells her he's worried she's working too much was cut. I understand scenes have to be cut to fit the time but if we hadn't known this scene existed, when Rachel told Tony "you were right, I've been pushing myself etc" we'd have been thinking...he's right about what? It seems a bit mad to have a follow up scene and then cut the scene which is before the follow up! The scene with Belle was the one that really got me. I thought there was a subtle moment where Rachel said about it being "one of those days" and then quickly changed the subject because she remembered that Belle's dying and she shouldn't be complaining about her own issues. The way she was holding back the tears again and despite everything that had happened that day was really trying to support Belle and worried about her having support when the baby comes was so lovely, she's got a real big sister vibe with Belle. I think Tuesday's episode was one that showed all the best sides of Rachel's character.
  14. I dunno if they do or whether it's just because were fans that we think they're too short! Last night's Tachel stuff was just beautiful, a lot showed in just that one little scene. I loved how finally, Tony was the one supporting Rachel (he does it so well haha) and she was finally allowing herself to be comforted by him and not trying to be strong all the time. It was sweet how Tony threw his lovingly folded towel on the floor when she came in crying and went running straight over to her. I think I just liked it so much because as Kirsty said there was a role reversal in the relationship and to see Rachel completely break down like that....
  15. Thank you for posting Looks very interesting although I have to say, I struggle to watch Jon acting as anyone BUT Tony...he's typecast in my mind now
  16. Wow brilliant fic Suzie, I really loved how you filled in the gaps of what we didn't see on the show! Looking forward to the next one!
  17. Yep I think originally it could have been seen that Rachel was pushing Tony way too much to cope but when Angelo came back she realised she had to let him deal with it in his own way and she even told him "whatever you decide to do (with Angelo) I'll support you" She also told him a couple of weeks ago that she didn't expect him to pretend like everything's ok so I don't personally feel that she was pushing him to get over it. She even defended him against Alf and Martha when they had a go about the amount of time he was spending with Angelo. I agree that I'd like there to be more scenes with Tony & Rachel, too often we just hear that Rachel and Tony have been discussing things, like Rachel mentioning that she's told Tony of her fears at becoming a Mum and he's told her she'll be fine, yet we hardly ever see it on screen. Rachel's too busy being hounded by other people wanting relationship advice, particularly Martha of late.
  18. Even though the writers had a minor brain lapse when they had Rachel & Tony asking Martha to be Godmother instead of Leah, I was really pleased that their forgetting how close Leah & Rachel are isn't a permanent thing after today's episode (4889) Leah was really sweet, looking out for Rachel, giving her advice on being a Mum after Rachel started panicking. What's really nice with their friendship is that on the whole, Leah is the one giving Rachel advice which makes a change as Rachel is usually the one who has to deal with everyone's problems. It's nice that Rachel has someone to look out for her and talk to and I liked how Leah promised she wouldn't leave Rachel to bond with the oven The writers wrote the characters really nice today, with Leah admitting she was really stressed for weeks when expecting VJ and Rachel admitting she feels the same she's just trying to hide it, be strong and that she's so used to being in control she's scared about that being taken from her. It was good character continuity I thought and they complement each other well so I can see why they're such close friends. I wasn't too impressed with the writers yet again not showing us any scenes of Rachel talking to Tony and instead just implying that he's been telling her the same, but that's for another thread...
  19. I don't really have an opinion on Hugo, I think he has the potential to be a great character on his own but I hate how they turn him into this soppy idiot who lets Martha use and abuse him when it comes to love. What reeallly annoyed me was the way he was perfectly happy to upset Tony and turn down the offer of being his cousin's Godfather all so poor Martha doesn't get upset He wasn't even happy about being asked.
  20. Isn't that what life's all about? Trying to create the perfect family life... A big step forward in Tachel tonight. Would have personally liked to actually see them work through their issues rather than not be on screen for a week, come back and they're fine and dandy. She looked so proud of Tony tonight when he gave Margo his blessing and it was a big thing for Tony I think. I was a bit concerned after that first scene when he got upset and stormed off, thinking they were back to square one but he just needed some thinking time and now everything's great Loved the leggings today, very trendy hehe. And the eating for two line I like all the subtle pregnancy hints (finally) that weve been getting and I'm happy now Tachel are happy
  21. I actually think it was Tony who was trying to create the perfect family setting yesterday and it was intentional. He admitted that he was trying to impress to make up for what had happened. They're trying to work through their relationship so I think it's a good thing, Tachel were the only happy couple yesterday
  22. I'm really annoyed to. The reason I'm so annoyed is because the only reason Martha was asked to be godmother was for the sake of one scene, to cause tension between her and Hugo. It was a typical storyline contrivance and they completely ignored the history of Rachel and Leah's close friendship, Leah was the first one Rachel wanted to tell when she found out she was pregnant, she always goes to her when she has problems, they're best friends I agree with you though Kirsty, I think it was Tony's decision and she's gone along with it because it's a sensitive subject and close to his heart..
  23. It's probably because they used a pillow when she was in hospital and now she's back to the prosthetic bump Were Tachel back to being a happy couple tonight? (I haven't seen it yet)
  24. ^^We were pretty much guessing but in the I'm still really disappointed there's been no follow up with one of the biggest issues Tachel have ever had to deal with as a couple but I guess it's one of those things I'll have to accept, I'm hoping for some nice happy normal family scenes between them now!
  25. Just wanted to comment on this quote crazylazy put in Tachel spoilers. I definetely agree. As much as I'm very grateful for the screentime Tachel got in Tuesday's episode (trust me, us Tachel fans don't take it for granted ) I am really disappointed with the aftermath of it all. Tony attempted to murder somebody, has an apparent wake-up call and yet nearly a week later we still haven't heard them talk about it or discuss how it affected both him and Rachel and what this means for their marriage. Yes I'm sure Rachel will forgive him but I don't think "weve got a lot of talking to do" is a very good closure to the storyline and I didn't think much of Tony's apology either to be honest. Yer he said sorry and he explained what was going through his mind but he didn't give Rachel a very good explanation as to why he has practically ignored her ever since Angelo came back. I know Jon said in tv week that (I've put it in spoiler tags just in case they do discuss this in their next set of scenes) Unfortunately it's a key thing with the writers and Tachel, they tell us a lot of the time what's happening in their relationship rather than actually showing it. I do however admit that a big talk/relationship development could be to come so I will hold off judging too much until the next time we see them on screen...I'm not holding out much hope though.
