41. =Don and June - 4 points
After two failed marraiges, both to women who seemed unstable at some point, Don thought that he was onto a winner with June. Unfortunately after proposing June went unstable as well and her kleptomania was nearly the undoing of them. Nearly. Unusually, they are (as far as we know), now living happily together in the Witsundays.
41. =Curtis and Selina - 4 points
We didn't watch the mid 90's a lot, but they seem to have produced the same five characters or so in numerous relationships. This is just another one.
41. =Felix and Sarah - 4 points
A couple that were a couple, but strangely we never saw them both in the same scene. As an act of love, Sarah thought that giving an ailing Felix a dose of crystal meths would give him a new lease of life. It did, taking him from 10% right down to 0%. Felix is to blame for the current adventures featuring barns being blown up in Home and Away's most milked storyline.
41. =Shannon and Mandy - 4 points
Shannon and Mandy left to spend many nights in Paris. Shannon eventually fell for Mandy after numerous relationships with men. Of course, this is a family show, so the pair were only ever "special friends".

Did you know that Kiss/Chase has been banned in the UK on the grounds that it discriminates against gay people? Not that that worries either Ric or Drew who are neither gay or in the UK. Some forum members appear to wish otherwise.
41. =Andrew and Donna - 4 points
The 1995 vintage of Cassie and Macca you could say. Donna upset Andrew about something and so he bashed her again and again. Aren't all couples just so loving? Not that this is trying to make dosmetic violence funny or anything, because it's not, but what would be even less funny is if this spiel stuck out from the rest, because of Ryan's preaching about something and that's far more important.
47. =Kim and Colleen - 3 points
Not really a relationship, as an endearing friendship. I mean Kim would rather one of his two car crashes, his helicopter crash or his drugs overdose was fatal than jump into bed with Colleen. Apparently, some forum members disagree. It is times like these when Liz wishes that she hadn't included the "Two characters you would have liked to have seen together" option in the voting criteria.
47. =Jesse and Selina - 3 points
Jesse and Selina were together for a short period in the mid 90's, sometime between when Steven left and Steven came back.
49. =Irene and Ken - 2 points
After seven years on the show, someone decided to give Irene a longer term love interest. However this meant that Ken was crushed by a car because he had been spending money on an engagement ring instead of essential equipment for the garage, like a jack that doesnt collapse. Everyone was devestated.

Yuck, were really Ryan's only thoughts on this relationship.
49. =Travis and Rebecca - 2 points
Travis and Rebecca brought two clans together and brought us a world of wonderful storylines such as people falling off boats, people leaving on boats, people owning boats, people selling boats, people having sugar put in the engines of their boats and a wedding singer who had people running for the boats. That aside, they made a nice addition to the legacy of Caravan Park parents.

Dan and Amanda originally broke up because Dan was hitting Amanda. From what we've seen this couldn't be further from the truth, especially as Tim is a very nice man. Liz has recently begun to appreciate the sexual tension, especially when Dan F presented her with this little image...

For those of you wondering, this is Jack who came from the Wilson clan. We know very little about this apart from that Jack liked to play the field so we'll shut up now.

Home and Away's first ever couple, introduced to us within the first minute of the show.

As much as I would love to see lesbianism on the show, I can honestly say that I cannot see what would make these two such a marvellous couple. Though it does make you wonder what they were doing when Hayley lived with Leah during 2003.
49. =Ben and Carly - 2 points
Julian McMahon, playing Ben Lucini, who was played by Julian McMahon. OK, that joke was funny the first time. Did someone like this couple or did they like Julian McMahon or maybe Carly's friz. The former seems more likely. Liz can safely say that liking Julian McMahon is a very likely suggestion.

I guess that Ste has voted then. Personally, I thought that Travis and Kelly were extremely sleazy, but Ste thinks they were the fourth best thing since sliced bread.
58. =Alf and Colleen - 1 point
The closest they probably got to a relationship was when Colleen choked on some food in the diner and Alf saved her life. This made him extremely popular with Colleen, but less so than the rest of the town. Alf probably choked when Colleen made one of her dodgy stews.
58. =Jesse and Chloe - 1 point
Since I didn't watch at all in the mid to late 90's, my guess is that Jesse and Chloe had some sort of relationship then. If not, someone was mesmerised by the great love story of blocks 899 and 900, when Chloe turned Jesse down, so he got drunk and then killed her.
58. =Jude and Charlotte - 1 point
Charlotte had just broken up with abusive fiance, Steve. Jude had just broken up with non-abusive fiancee (I hope I've got those the right way round), Shauna. So, the best thing to do when your down in the dumps is go out with somebody, after a boozy night and get pregnant. Charlotte miscarried, Jude dumped her for Shauna, Charlotte died and Jude threatened to run off with all Charlotte's money so that they could live the life of Riley. Apart from that it was laughs all round.
58. =Josh and Dani - 1 point
Josh was the new kid in town. Dani had just arrived in town. You had two "hot" (Seven's words, not mine), single teenagers. I wonder what will happen next. They spent nearly a year together though on various incidences Kane broke them up, before property development and Shelley and Rhys finally did it in.
58. =Kim and Hayley - 1 point
Em, find something positive to say about this. Kim and Hayley obviously looked very cute together until Hayley underwent a head transplant so that she was no longer blonde, and the failed wedding, that is almost lost in the mists of time. Is it Home and Away's least memorable wedding. Kim and Hayley found partners within a couple of weeks so neither could have invested too much into the relationship. Barry, on the other hand was left reeling....
58. =Vinnie and Sally - 1 point
Kind of like Marilyn and Don, but with a few changes. First of all they were both the same age, secondly it was Sally that had the brains, and unlike Marilyn, who was thick, Vinnie was just extrovert and clever when he put his mind to it. Em, maybe they were nothing like Marilyn and Don.

Chloe has the kind of unique record of having two couples in 58th place. Unfortunately it's also last place. So, this might be the perfect opportunity to say see you in the next "Most Popular" thing in which you can vote for everything that happened in the past couple of weeks, whether it was any good or not.
