The start of the 1995 season (Episode 1606) brought with it another brand new style of opening titles. Gone were the bold coloured surfboard and sun shapes, and in came a blue animated background which moved progressively with each cast slide to show a wave breaking. This was complemented by a soft orange sun in the centre, which was also increased in size to replace the blue graphic during non-cast shots. Despite still being part of the main cast, Damian Roberts and Roxy Miller were left out of the opening titles, and credited in the end credits until their departures 3 and 4 weeks into the season respectively. These titles continued with the original theme tune until June 1995, when Doug Williams and Erana Clark's version debuted.

In a move reminiscent of the alternate Donald/Celia shot from 1988,
Shane would occasionally appear from the left hand side of the screen instead of the right - leading to a confused look on Angel's face and the credited names being the wrong way round.
