Why was the charater of Angie killed off? She was very popular under my impression, we may not have all liked her, but we did love to watch her. Were there contractual agreements with the actress that caused her to be axed? or were there censorship problems, or had you just run out of things to do with her.
Asked by CarlitoAngie was killed off as it was felt that the character had so alienated herself from the Summer Bay community by her actions that there was not a lot of room left for her to move. She had been so vile, why would anyone want anything to do with her. Besides, by killing her off, Coral got the show some of its best ratings for years.
