Asked by StephenThe Sutherlands became the main family of the show with three of the most popular female characters under the same roof. Clearly, in giving all three of these girls a good supply of strong stories, as the fans seemed to want, it meant that they'd be experiencing more than your average family's share of turmoil. Much better that more than the usual number of things should have happened to them than you all be sitting at home bored.
