How far ahead do you plan lives for the character? For example, when Angie Russell first appeared on the show did you know from that first episode that she would have a twin called Josie that would soon arrive in the bay to stir some trouble?
Asked by Erin TaylorWe tend to think about three months ahead. The idea of Josie the "twin" cousin was created way down the track when we decided we would like to have Laurie acting in the show again and had to work out a way to bring her back. Coral had just done the twin sisters thing, so I settled for a lookalike cousin and hoped the viewers would take the leap of faith and suspend disbelief. Had Coral not just done the Kirsty/Laura story I would have made Josie the identical twin sister.
