No Success for Sursok

The magazine, which features exclusive interviews, brand new, never before seen photos and a complete timeline of events at Summer Bay and much more (including 12 pin-ups!), is set to be released in stores in the UK and Ireland soon. Ada Slips Up

It seems that Leah's bad luck has brushed off on Ada Nicodemou, who on Wednesday ended up in the X-Ray department following an accident on set. A Seven spokesperson told the Daily Telegraph that Ada 'took a slight mis-step' which led to concerns that she had injured her back. Todd filming after serious crash

Home and Away's Todd Lasance (Aden Jeffries) has returned to work after he and two others were involved in a serious car accident at the weekend. Lasance and his fellow passenger struck a Honda Civic which was making an improper right turn off Warringah Rd, Forestville, on Sunday. Home And Away is to take a 3 week break from screening in the UK from August 4 to August 25th. But they won't be going cold turkey. Some classic episodes will be played over the break, which has been put in place to prevent the UK from becoming to close to Australia in terms of episodes. Cathy in Cancer Battle

Cathy Godbold, who's portrayal as Leukaemia sufferer Meg Bowman became one of H&A's most memorable storylines, has been battling her own battle with a brain tumour. The show has aired on the BBC since 1986, but when the rights to air the show went up for negotiation recently, a bidding war broke out between the BBC, ITV and Five. The early years back in the UK

It appears that Five Life are to begin airing old episodes of Home and Away from the middle of the 2000 season, the point where five took over from ITV. When five life first launched, it was announced that early episodes of Home and Away would air on the channel. However, the announcement was quickly withdrawn and claimed to be a misprint. New Theme Tune hits screens

The start of the 2007 season brought with it a brand new version of Home and Away's famous theme tune, sung by Israel Cannan. However, it was badly received by many of the show's fans, who disliked the theme's new vocal arrangement. New Trailers on five

Home and Away is finally getting some much deserved promotion on five. Five Life is running a number of trailers promoting the show, featuring interviews with Lynne McGranger, Ray Meagher and Mark Furze. It appears there are at least two variations of the trailer, one featuring just Lynne, and one featuring all three cast members. After finishing her stint on Home and Away last year, Isabel Lucus (Tasha Hunter) is now turning her attention to films. She told News.com.au that although Home and Away was a wonderful learning experience, film and theatre is now her focus for the near future. Kate Ritchie in gun drama

When Kate Ritchie attended Australia's newly re-opened Goodbar nightclub on Wednesday night, little did she know she'd get caught up in a gun drama. The star was just one of many celebrities at the event on Wednesday night, held to celebrate the launch of Converse Product Red. It came to a halt when "20 masked men armed with guns and metal bars stormed the party", reports Sydney Confidential. Jodi Gordon's "beloved soulmate"

The Herald Sun reports that Jodi Gordon buried her "beloved soulmate" and boyfriend of two years, Chris Burkhard, last week, after he lost a battle with leukemia. The 23 year old was diagnosed with the disease, an rare cancer usually found only in people older than 40, last May. He slipped a coma a week ago, with Jodi by his side, and died the next day. The newspaper reports that Jodi "was supported by many of her Summer Bay castmates, including Holly Brisley, Tim Campbell and Ray Meagher, at Burkhardt's funeral in Sydney's Lane Cove on Thursday." Home And Away had a roaring start to 2007 last night with a peak audience of over 1.75 million and an average audience of over 1.53 million viewers tuning in nationally. New Season, New Credits

Home and Away returned to Australian screens today, and brought with it a brand new title sequence. The titles feature an altered photograph theme, and for the first time in Home and Away's history, there are no actor or character names featured. The new title sequence also brought with it a new theme tune, performed by Israel Cannan, who previously played Wazza in the show. Dan Bennett Leaves

It has been announced that Daniel Bennett has left his post as Home and Away Script Producer. Daniel, who started work in his senior position in 2005, has handed over the mantle to Leigh McGrath and Faith McKinnon, who will jointly take care of things in the Bay until a new Script Producer is appointed in the new year. Due to the advance writing of the show, Daniel's work will continue to be seen into 2007. BTTB wishes Dan the best of luck for the future....
