Channel 5’s Xmas Break

Channel 5 have recently confirmed to BTTB that Home and Away will be taking it’ss usual break from UK transmission over the festive season.

The last airing for the year will be Episode 5200 on Friday 17th December 2010, with the show returning to Channel 5 on Monday 17th January 2011 after a 4 week break.

In previous years, UK fans have still been able to get their Summer Bay fix in the form of themed repeats of the show on sister channel Fiver, however we can confirm that there will be no such showings this year.

With the season finale airing this coming Friday in Australia, UK showings will catch up by 3 weeks before Christmas. Depending on when the 2011 season premieres in Australia, the date of which is yet to be announced, the UK will then be approximately 2-3 weeks behind Australian transmission.
