BTTB can confirm that UK broadcaster Five will be taking Home and Away off air for the month of August, putting the gap between UK and Australian transmission back to 6 weeks.
The last showing before the hiatus will be on Episode 4900 on Friday 31st July, with the show returning to UK screens on 31st August.
As it stands, the UK airing comes only 2 weeks after Australian airing, and this break will ensure that the UK does not come in danger of overtaking Australia when they take their annual christmas break at the end of November.
