Kate embraces her curves

Ex-Home and Away star Kate Richie (Sally Fletcher) has teamed up with fellow Aussie celebs Sarah Murdoch, Antonia Kidman and Ricki-Lee Coulter in their stand against the "thin is in" craze.

Richie, 30, said women were behind the whole female body image epidemic, not men.

"Women really need to start giving each other a break," she said.

"In most cases, it's women who criticise each others bodies."

Richie teamed up with Antonia Kidman and Ricki-Lee Coulter to declare war on the skinny celebrity cult. The ladies said "We love our curves" in this week's Who magazine.

"(Fitting) into size small jeans doesn't make me happy. It's about being able to enjoy a meal, a glass of wine and balancing that with exercise," Richie said.

Most Popular Character 2010

The results countdown of our biennial poll, to find the show's most popular character as voted for by members of our forum, has now started.

New look!

We're in the process of creating a brand new look Back to the Bay to freshen things up, clear out the clutter and add some features as we go. Apologies for how long it's taking and how much of the site is looking rather peculiar as a result, but rest assured we're making progress and the new look will be complete within the next few weeks.
