Home and Away has been well known for it's classic cliffhangers, from it's friday evening shocker to keep viewers guessing or the end of year clanger which leaves us stewing for weeks. This year is no exception to the rule, with viewers farewelling Summer Bay for the Olympics with Nicole & Geoff sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

You would think they were goners. Before the thoughts of "I thought she was a regular!" or frantic "When does his contract end??" start to sink in. Then you begin to accept the fact that they both will survive. But only soap land can we end up on a deserted island (well, supernatural dramas too, but ssh) and be perfectly fine after being speared and/or drowned.

When Home & Away returns next week, the scenes you will see have been filmed not at Palm Beach like usual, but a few hours north to the sparkling Port Stephens. With some cracking material coming up, viewers just want to come home* and watch the lives of Summer Bay's favourites.
