AWGIE for episode 4498

Home and Away episode 4498, written by Margaret Wilson, won the 'Television Serial' AWGIE at the 41st Annual AWGIE Awards yesterday. The episode, which broadcast in 2007, saw the non-wedding of Summer Bay favourite Sally Fletcher to Brad Armstrong. The wedding was called off when Sally revealed she couldn't go through with it due to her being unable to move on from her late husband Flynn. Episode 4521, which saw the aftermath of the accident involving little Pippa, was also nominated but failed to pick up the award.

The award for 'Best Original Feature Film' went to The Black Balloon, which stars Rhys Wakefield, who played Home and Away's Shakespeare Lucas Holden until his character's exit from the show earlier this year.

New look!

We're in the process of creating a brand new look Back to the Bay to freshen things up, clear out the clutter and add some features as we go. Apologies for how long it's taking and how much of the site is looking rather peculiar as a result, but rest assured we're making progress and the new look will be complete within the next few weeks.
