Kylie Watson Speaks Out

She spent three years as unlucky in love lifeguard Shauna Bradley, but behind the camera there was a different story. Kylie Watson, the actress who played Shauna, reveals that her time on Home And Away prevented her from being open about her sexuality.

“I did make a conscious decision to not be outed,” she told Cherrie magazine. “My agents at the time suggested it would be a good idea not to say anything about it and also you don’st just consider yourself, you consider people around you, like your partner and their family and friends.

“I’sve never made a point of letting people know about my sexuality because I’sve never thought it was relevant, but it’ss who I am and I’sm not ashamed of it,” she said.

With no plans to return to the silver screen in the future, Waston has set up an interior design business which has been a great success for her.
