Ryan Kwanten (Vinnie Patterson) is starring in two new films in 2007.

The first, Dead Silence, is a horror film from the writer and director of Saw. Or, as the official website would have you believe, "an experience on the razor's edge of fear" .

Kwanten stars as Jamie Ashen, who returns to Ravens Fair after the death of his wife, determined to unravel the mystery of her death. After reuniting with his father, he digs "into the town's bloody past to find out who killed his wife and why".

The second movie, Don't Fade Away, is currently in post-production, and features The O.C.'s Mischa Barton and rapper Ja Rule. Weird combination, no?

Kwanten stars as 'Jackson White', a man with looks, brains, and athletic ability, to whom the world's possibilities seemed limitless. But, when he came to New York City to pursue a career in the music industry, he was so seduced by money and status that he lost track of who he was. Now, with both his personal and professional lives on the edge of ruin, he's been called home to care for his dying father. While in North Carolina, he'll have to confront the friends he lost track of and the girl he never met.

The release date of Don't Fade Away is currently unknown, but we'll bring you more details just as soon as they're released.
