Boadle Rehab Centre

Description

Following Belle’s collapse at Rachel and Tony’s wedding in 2009 from an overdose, she was admitted to the Boadle Rehabilitation Centre – where she later met the rock star Liam Murphy.

The real life location was the Weemala Hospital, which was part of the Royal Rehabilitation Centre in the Northern Sydney suburb of Ryde. The building accommodated for around 30 people with intellectual and physical disability. The building was demolished in late 2014 as part of a huge redevelopment of the centre.

Other buildings around the complex had also been used for a number of locations in the late 2000’s.
