  1. She did have him quite young, 19 or 20. No, she was 22 when she gave birth to VJ. Nearly 23. This new actor make its look like she was about 16. He really does look like a 20-something year old, almost late 20's Imo Why can't they just age the characters gradually. If she's still around, in five years time they will want Leah to be a 'mother figure' to a teenager and potentially draft in some random kid when they could have just used VJ if they'd aged him realistically. Late 20s? You're having a laugh! I don't think he looks late 20s either but then again I would say he could more easily pass for someone in their last 20s as opposed someone in their mid teens. Having him as a 15 year old alongside Jett is utterly utterly ridiculous. He does seem like a good actor but role fit is a huge importance especially when recasting. I agree with most here - worst recasting decision in recent times. He looks his real age, early 20s as opposed to 6 years younger. He's fit better with Kyle, Phoebe, Chris etc then poor Jett. Also it seems when they aged him they de-aged him maturity wise. He got older... but brattier. Like Blaxland89 mentioned, glad they never went down this sorasing track with Kate Richie and Ryan Clark.
  2. Actually I would have expected a cremation and had his ashes sprinkled into the ocean and a farewell kinda like Rocko. I did love his funeral though with the River Boys lined up paying their respects. But I would have appreciated a bit more time on the funeral. Brax, Jett and Denny's reactions were rewarding, and I loved Brax's eulogy. And even though I know there is cast restrictions, would have expected more of the Bay to turn up. And a past character or two like Ruby, Tamara, Bianca, April, Dex, or Indi.
  3. I'm looking forward to that one. Read the books but think the movie will be better. I recently watched Into the Storm (average), If I Stay (good - tears included) and Predestination (trippy).
  4. I think you hit the nail on the head there. Actually it seems like both Kane & Miles made it for her. Yes she should have just spoken up about it, but she really didn't get much of a choice in the end. I don't get why you continuously post in this thread when it's clear you detest her. I could continuously post in Martha's thread and comment on how irrititating I find that drama queen victim (though I guess Belle has taken over her mantle now) and how glad I am that the Jack/Martha mess is over and done with, but that would not very constructive at all. Nor nice. I must admit I prefer the 'old Kirsty' and these days I'm a bit apathetic towards her. But most misgivings in this thread are posted with thought. Rather than a sentence on basically how 'crap' she is. I post in here because everyone is entitled to there opinion. Please feel free to post in Marthas, Thats true and i mean people should know that not everyons going to like a character i hate it when people say bad stuff about a charater and people get upset and angry the thing about Kirsty is sometimes u love her and at other times not so much I think you missed my point. I realise people have faves and vice versa, it would be boring if we all felt the same. But what happened to constructive criticism? 'I hate so & so' in the said so & so's thread is pretty pointless IMO. I would like Kane to be killed off too. Or he doesnt actually need to be killed off. He can just go away and never come back! I really dislike Kane and i dont like how he treats Kirsty. Im not a big Kirsty fan either but she deserves someone nicer than Kane. Aka Miles! I like KK. But that's only because of how they were in the past, back before they went on the run. They've suceeded to ruin the couple now, I don't see why they brought them back in the first place. It's obvious TPTB wanted some old blood in the Bay considering they lost so many old characters in 2008. But to bring Kirsty back and decimate the couple like that? It's obvious KK were going to be collateral damage considering Sam Atwell prefer behind the camera these days. And I bet you anything that when Christie leaves, thye'll reunite them again and they'll sail off into the sunset like nothing ever happened. Ugh. Meanwhile they trashed both the characters separately and the couple. I was quite a big KK Shipper back in the day which is impressive for me considering I rarely ship any couple in any show. The recent KK scenes felt flat. I agree Kane was a massive selfish jerk and Kirsty wasn't all that much better. And for them to get to that point after what they've been through. I know people change, but geez watching old eps and then now, they're a totally different couple. I was only reminded of how much I loved them when I went searching through my screencaps for avatars. Their romatice sweet gestures, the way their faces would light up around each other and the pure chemistry they brought. Seriously it's like a totally different couple. I loved KK version 1. KK version 2, not so much.

  6. Got to say that I very much agree with the 'middle-aged' comments. I miss the old Kirsty!!! I do still love her but I think it may be mostly down to old loyalties. As for this recent storyline, I quite like the idea of it but not a fan of the execution. It's very abrupt and considering their long & comnplicated past, the whole KK reunion has been lucklustre. And MK isn't really sparking either. As for the decsion, I'm in two minds about this. Ultimately I'm a KK fan but it's just not feasible to have KK together atm. Sam wasnt to direct, Christie wants to act. Therefore I would prefer her to be with Miles. They're a sweet family unit and the pairing beats Miles & Leah hands down (I dread the day that rears it's ugly head). Yes she could go off and be with Kane and live happily ever after but then what was the point of bringing them back? Screw with the couple and their individual characters and then send them on their way? No thanks. I would be mighty miffed with that. That would be akin to when they brought Chloe back and then promptly killed her off.
  7. He was gorgeous tonight, once again. I love how he reached out to Jai as they were leaving.
  8. I agree with most of your sentiments. Kirsty is one of my all time favourite characters. I stopped watching H&A a few years ago when it got crazy OTT and all my faves left. But I tuned in last year when Sally left and Kirsty returned. Kirsty was always one of the more believable and realistic teens of the Bay. Feisty and tough yet flawed and vulnerable with a good heart. She was a complex one. I did prefer her back in the old days, and I do agree that she's lost that 'something'. She's always made stupid decisions (she's of the do before you think kind) however she's turned into quite the dumbass. Oblivious to Kane's indiscretions on the run, she's the most hopeless secretary the school has seen (incl Irene), taking the escort job and not telling Miles, seriously? Also she's become a tad boring. However every now and then the old Kirsty shines through. And I do love her with Ollie (who is just fantastic. He was cast well and IMO the best H&A kidlet ever) and I like her relationship with Miles. I do prefer Kirsty & Kane together but I really don't know how they're going to make that sucessfully work now and her & Miles make a great family unit. I was very apprehensive at her returning. I also hate what they did to Jesse & Chloe (another one of my all-time faves), they do seem to ruin characters upon returning. But she's back now and although the writers have stupidly missed opportunites for some continuity such as stepsisters Kirsty & Matilda, and Martha with her going through practically the same storyline that occured to Kirsty 3 or 4 years ago (pregnant with a potentially fatal illness, putting off procedures/treatment until having the baby but unfortunately miscarrying) and timing wise it wasn't great (if KK had returned 6 months earlier it would have had a greater impact with more characters that new them i.e. Sally & Dan), it hasn't been all that bad. Yes she's seen better days but I'm hoping that she sticks around and they utilise her better. Also, if she does stick around - perhaps we'll get to see some Sutherlands and/or Hunters. I'm all for the old gang. I don't know, they seem to turn all previously great characters horrid these days (especially female ones such as Martha & Belle). But even if she does turn into some useless whiny Diner babe ala Leah, sleeping around the town and cheating on the guys ala Belle, and tragically featuring in practically every single storyline ala Martha, I still don't think I could hate her.
  9. Haha Scott is a **** bugger isnt he? Love it, love it, love it!
  10. Awww no all gone! That's why I prefer FF.net (even though they've recently introduced the most crappest rating system, ok for the writers but hell for readers searching for fics) Will you be updating at FF.net at all whilst you're re-loading here? hint hint
